Trauffer is a singer from Switzerland, who is combining pop songs with traditional swiss-folk elements.
His sixth studio album "Schnupf, Schnaps + Edelwyss" came out today (26th Janaury 2018), as a follow-up to "Heiterefahne" and "Alpentainer", which both spent over 100 weeks on the Swiss Album Charts and are still charting.

I know i'll most likely be the only one posting in this topic, but he's incredibly huge over here at the moment, so i thought i'd open this topic.

Trauffer has teamed up with Gölä - one of the most popular Swiss artists of all time - for a new album called "Büetzer Buebe" that came out today.

It already broke the Apple Music record for the most pre-adds for a Swiss artist ever.

This is going to be #1 for several weeks over here I guess. Wouldn't be surprised if it's eligible for Gold based on pre-orders alone.

They got a Platinum certification on a show last Saturday (20k).
I'm actually shocked it's only Platinum to be honest...

^^ I think it's appropriate. It 'only' stayed at No. 1 for 3 weeks and in the top 10 for 7 weeks after all. Trauffer's current solo record reached platinum after charting in the top 10 for 13 weeks, including 6 weeks at No. 1.

^ I just like to think sales are better over here. Especially since including streaming into certifications as well - but then, "Büetzer Buebe" is not an album with many streams and most of its sales are pure sales. But ever since seeing albums like "Kid In Love" by Kygo (CR: *34*-Out) or "Glory Days" by Little Mix (CR: *22*-Out-RE 75-Out) getting certifications I really am confused when it comes to estimate what certification level an album has in Switzerland.

In addition to that, Gölä & Trauffer not only sold out the Letzigrund stadium over here (around 40-45k capacy) within minutes as the very first act from Switzerland doing so, a second date just a day after the first is about to be sold out as well!

Anyways, Gölä and Trauffer released a Christmas song together. Milking it as long as possible, I guess! Obviously getting a huge lead on iTunes over here, will be interesting to see where the song will debut on the official charts next week.
