I absolutely adore "How Do You Sleep?" - It's my second most listened single from 2019. I'm glad it got such a lovely debut on your chart!

You must have listened to it a LOT then. It's still quite new and still it beat almost all other 2019 songs? Wow!

This is the first time I actually like a Taylor Swift song. I have tried and tried, but after a few time I always deleted her songs, but this is really good. A grower though, but I like it more and more.

    Highlights:
After seven weeks Debbie Gibson has to let go of her #1 position with Girls Night Out. It was almost a tie as Meghan Trainor's Run Like The River only has one scrobble more!
Lauren Daigle caught my attention when I was listen to the radio in the car and heard her voice that reminds me a lot of Adele.
Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello made me curious as their song is #1 here in the Netherlands, so I decided to give it a listen and add it to my playlist.

    11. (17) Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello | Señorita (2 weeks) peak #11
    12. (19) Guy Sebastian | Choir (9 weeks) peak #5
    13. (ne) Anna Vissi | Meta Apo Sena Esy (1 week) peak #13

    20. (16) Jeroen van der Boom | Winnaars (7 weeks) peak #11

    Highlights:
While Meghan Trainor holds on to her #1 position, Ava Max has the highest new entry at #8 with Freaking Me Out. Had she released at Halloween, it might even have charted higher. Who knows, maybe it will re-enter at Halloween as it sounds to be the perfect song to celebrate it.
Other new entries are for Ariana Grande and Greek singer Anna Vissi. I'm still not sure if I actually like Ariana's new single, while Anna Vissi's new song is absolutely perfect for summer although I don't understand a word.

    Highlights:
And so Debbie Gibson is back at #1. I still love that sooo much!
Ava Max and Charlie Puth released a new song half way through the week, so everything considering they did really well with just a few days of scrobbles. Most noticeable though is Eric Benét with We Could Have Been from the infamous Mariah Carey movie Glitter. With We Could Have Been finally arriving on Spotify, one could wonder what would happen if Mariah's Glitter album would be released on Spotify.

Sharing #1 honours with me...well, until i post new chart tonight. Can Ava hold on a second week?
Ohh also i'm sure Torn samples the ABBA track.

    02. (04) Charlie Puth | I Warned Myself (2 weeks) peak #2

It's a good lead single, well i'm guessing it is but it's lack of success so far suggests this might end up being relegated to buzz single status.

    08. (09) Sam Smith | How Do You Sleep? (6 weeks) peak #3
    09. (10) Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello | Señorita (5 weeks) peak #7

I posted a comment in my chart thread about the pop guys delivering the goods. These are the two prime examples - i can't say i've ever been a massive fan of either Sam or Shawn but these two tracks have become my personal favourites by them.

    10. (re) Katy Perry | Small Talk (2 weeks) peak #8

My first listen of this track left me underwhelmed and quite disappointed. Now there's a cute music video but i doubt it'll do much to boost the actual song for me.

    Highlights:
From my 40 most scrobbled songs last week, 30 were by Ariana Grande. Wednesday I went to see her live in concert and so I streamed the songs on the setlist to get in the mood. I decided to leave them out of my weekly chart as they probably would only enter for one week and would not really represent the songs I love at the moment.

    Highlights:
When it looked like Vanessa Amorosi was going to get to #1, Mariah suddenly released her new song nearly at the end of the week.
After Mariah's release there was another surprise: Celine Dion suddenly released three new songs. Among other great new releases, I don't know which song I should listen to the most. Love this problem!

Not a fan of your #1. It's mediocre by Mimi's own high standards.

I am ecstatic to see all the Mika! I just heard "Dear Jealousy" and "Sanremo" today, and I adore them both, especially the former!

You have the luxury of choosing loneliness. For some people, it’s not an option.

My husband bought the first two CD's of MIKA, so I've always followed him. But up till last week there was only one song I really love: Good Guys. Still, I always listen to his new songs out of curiosity and hoping he'll release another Good Guys quality kind of song. And suddenly there are three songs I really love by him!

    Yay for those!

Love to see Sam's re-entry for "How Do You Sleep?". A shame it wasn't a (much) bigger hit for him as it's definitely one of his finest singles so far.

Nice debuts for the queens Mariah and Céline. Really looking forward to the new album by the latter.

How Do You Sleep is still big on the charts in the Netherlands.

Me. I am also looking forward to the new Celine album.

    20 - 27 September 2019

    01. (02) Vanessa Amorosi | Hello Me (2 weeks) peak #1

    08. (10) MIKA | Sanremo (2 weeks) peak #8
    09. (ne) OG3ne | First Clash Lovers (1 week) peak #9

    19. (ne) Fantasia | Holy Ghost (1 week) peak #19

    OUT:
    06. (03) Emeli Sandé | You Are Not Alone (3 weeks) peak #1
    14. (re) Sam Smith | How Do You Sleep? (8 weeks) peak #3

    Highlights:
So last week Vanessa Amorosi went up to #1, but then in the last two days of the week was beaten by Mariah Carey's new song In The Mix. So justice this week for Hello Me. Cause despite having a full week of scrobbles this week, Mariah has to give her #1 position away already.
With a full week of scrobbles Celine Dion went up with Imperfections and Lying Down. But with all the competition, Celine hasn't yet cracked the Top 3 with her new songs. Maybe next week?

Oh, nice to see Loreen's new single making an appearance. Somehow I didn't expect you to like that song... I mean, even I as a huge fan of hers think it's one of her weakest songs ever (and by far). Fingers crossed she goes back to her "Euphoria" times again at some point.

Even though it's already out again, I'm still glad Meghan's "Wave" made a short appearance on your charts!

Well, I gave Loreen a chance, but I can't get into the song, so I've deleted it from my playlist. This means no more scrobbles, so she won't be in my chart again next week.

As for Meghan Trainor, Genetics and Wave are still in my playlist so they might return in my chart next week.
