    Graham:
I always wondered and never really asked: Is there a reason you start with the 70s then go back to the 60s and then forward to the 80s?
It doesn't bother me, it's just a question; and thanks for doing this so meticulously. Great work!
    Cheers, R.

It was just the the way it started. As in the title of the thread, in descending order. The other charts were then added on.
But I suppose I should correct the order now. So next time I will start with the 60's and work down.
I should also point out that there are many other 70's to 90's records in-between generally that don't get a chart position, before number 10 is reached on the 60's chart.
Nevertheless I think it shows which oldies are popular, especially over the long run.
Any chance of having thread renamed "Current iTunes best sellers for the 60's to 90's" trebor?

They haven't renamed the thread trebor. It's still saying "60s and 70's" - when it should be 60's to 90's

Interesting to see the tracks that sometimes make the decade charts each week. Sometimes they seem quite random such as 'Lilac Wine' by Nina Simone or 'Cry For Help' by Rick Astley.

Queen continue to be by far the biggest heritage act who are still selling well on downloads and who do well on streaming. Their most downloaded song last week (the chart that corresponds with Graham's post of 20/09/19) was 'Don't Stop Me Now' (#125 on the Downloads Singles chart) with 'Bohemian Rhapsody' not too far behind at #129. 'We Will Rock You' is much further behind at #174. I don't know what most downloads sell these days but the lack of download sales is made up by streaming. Yesterday 'Bohemian Rhapsody' sold and streamed enough to re-enter the Singles chart at number 92. That's with the track on ACR. On the "old rules" comprehensive Singles chart - the chart compiled with no ACR or three tracks per main artist rules - the single is at number 81 with almost 10,000 sales and stream equivalents. On the main chart and with ACR applied its sales were just over half that total.

Looking at the old rules Singles chart the bottom half of the top 200 has a number of 1960s to 1990s tracks which shows the oldies still continue to attrack interest. The tracks, in order, are:

    1. Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen ** (M)
    2. Don't Stop Me Now - Queen ** (M)
    3. September - Earth, Wind & Fire * (M)
    4. Wonderwall - Oasis **** (M)
    5. Everywhere - Fleetwood Mac * (M)
    6. The Chain - Fleetwood Mac *
    7. Africa - Toto ** (M)
    8. Go Your Own Way - Fleetwood Mac * (M)
    9. Don't Stop Believin' - Journey *** (M)
    10. Dreams - Fleetwood Mac *
    11. Mr Blue Sky - Electric Light Orchestra * (M)
    12. Another One Bites The Dust - Queen *
    13. Don't Look Back In Anger - Oasis *** (M)

    * = 600,000 sales
M = Millionaire (the OCC's term for a track that has passed a million sales and streaming equivalent sales)

'Here Comes The Sun' by The Beatles musn't be too far outside the top 200 as it's usually somewhere near the bottom of the chart. That's also on 600k plus.
