    NEW RELEASE: A BTS MAP

BigHit/Columbia's BTS is set for a big #1 bow on the next HITS Top 50 chart with MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA.

The K-Pop group's "Boy (With Luv)" f/Halsey is currently Top 5 on the Spotify U.S. and Global charts, and #2 at iTunes (where the group has the #1 album and three other songs in the Top 10).

Based on very early reads—and following a slightly later-than-usual release—here's what we're seeing. Stay tuned for updates.

    BTS (BigHit/Columbia) 200-240k total activity, 160-190k album

    1 BTS - MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA (17,104) *
    2 The Chemical Brothers - No Geography (6,864) *

thanks to @Robbie on the Midweek topic

Looks like they will get their first number one album there very easily, while "Boy With Luv" should become their first Top20 hit there. Nice!

BTS' 'Map of the Soul: Persona' Heading for No. 1 on Billboard 200 Albums Chart
    4/15/2019 by Keith Caulfield

Set would mark the third leader for the group on the chart.

BTS is bound for No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with their latest release, Map of the Soul: Persona. Industry forecasters suggest the set, which was released on April 12, could earn between 200,000 and 225,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending April 18. If the album opens at No. 1, it will mark the third leader for the act, following 2018’s Love Yourself: Answer and Love Yourself: Tear.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The top 10 of the April 27-dated Billboard 200 chart (where Map of the Soul: Persona could debut at No. 1) is scheduled to be revealed on Billboard’s websites on Sunday, April 21.

BTS’ last album, Love Yourself: Answer, launched with 185,000 equivalent album units earned in its first week, according to Nielsen Music. The set bowed atop the list dated Sept. 8, 2018. Of that sum, 141,000 were in album sales. It’s likely that BTS’ new album will be powered largely by album sales as well.

Other albums aiming for notable bows on next week’s chart include Anderson .Paak’s Ventura, Aaron Lewis’ State I’m In, Danny Gokey’s Haven’t Seen It Yet, LSD’s Labrinth, Sia & Diplo Present… LSD, Melissa Etheridge’s Medicine Show and Norah Jones’ Begin Again.
