Sounds good to me. So have they recorded the songs for this, or using original vocals?

I just know that Rami Malek trained his voice for the movie and the songs, but not sure which ones are used in the end

Iíve seen so many articles saying it does exclude it. Very revisionist for some reason.

If the movie does end in 1985 - and Freddie didnít get AIDS until after then, Iím not sure what is expected?

Exactly. I'm sure if it does go past 85 that they won't just ignore it.

Iíve heard mixed reviews, this has been in the making for so many years and Sacha Baron Cohen dropped out because there was too much emphasis on the making of their songs and not enough about Freddieís real life... apparently thatís not changed. Iíll watch it regardless!

I donít mind that though. There arenít many good music biops imo and half the time itís because they focus on the dramas instead of the music stuff.

I just find it suspect to decide to finish the movie before he had AIDS. I'll watch, but I just don't think it'll be worthy of his legacy.

It seems to be a movie that celebrates the genius of Freddie and the band. I donít know that we need - in what presumably is an attempt at a feel good, uplifting movie - to relive his death. We all know it was sad and terrible.

Well to be fair, some of Queen's best music came in those years when he was dying. To tell his story and ignore his death is like telling a story of John Lennon that doesn't acknowledge that he was murdered.

Why would that be wrong? There are plenty of biops out there that donít tell a story to a personís death. We have to accept it the bandís biop, not just Freddieís. Itís the story of the rise of Queen, not the rise and fall of it.
