She won’t get the Best Actress, it will be for Glenn.
But fingers crossed she’s not robbed with Original Song and she can have finally an Oscar.
Even Olivia should top Gaga after her incredible performance in The Favorite.
    “EVEN”.
I love you baby, but face it, she’s Madonna.

Such terrible nominations in what has actually been a crap year in mainstream cinema (in terms of what the Oscars look for).
I don't need no good advice, I'm already wasted.

I'm sad that they snubbed Troye in Best Original Song category.

All 5 songs will be performed.

Oscar Intrigue: Did Lady Gaga Force Academy To Fix Song Snafu?

EXCLUSIVE: Either today or tomorrow, the Academy will start leveling with what it is planning for the 91st Oscars on February 24. The Academy tweeted last night that all five nominated songs will be performed during the telecast, and insiders said that reports that only two — the Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper team-up "Shallow” from A Star Is Born , and Kendrick Lamar’s “All the Stars” from Black Panther— would be performed, were premature and only reflective of a proposal.

Since we’re dishing, here’s what I was told. The producers wanted to limit it to those two songs, and the reason the Academy walked back that decision was because either Lady Gaga herself, or her reps, made it clear she felt it was completely unfair to eliminated the three songs — almost like the Academy producers were forecasting who they thought would win — and that she wouldn’t perform if a change wasn’t made. And that’s why the Academy tweeted that all the songs will be shown, even if the tunes are truncated. Which means Jennifer Hudson will perform the RBG docu theme “I’ll Fight,” along with the Willie Watson-Tim Blake Nelson tune “When A Cowboy Trades His Spurs for Wings” from The Ballad of Buster Scruggs , and the nominated
Mary Poppins Returns tune “The Place Where Lost Things Go” will be featured — even though Emily Blunt
, who sang in the movie, is apprehensive about singing it live under so much pressure, and another artist will do the song.

Last night i watched The Wife and Glenn did a spectacular job. I think it's between her and Gaga. Glenn is one of the few actresses who won few awards before the Oscars, usually people who go on to win Best Actor & Actress awards sweep the floor during award season.

Glenn has never won an oscar either. As an established, well respected actress with multiple Oscar nominations under her belt, I also feel that this year she will be awarded the win based not just on this performance, but everything that came before it. Sort of like how Meryl won for playing Maggie Thatcher... which really wasn’t all that much to do with that role as such, but because she simply hadn’t won in a while and it was time she was recognised again.

Glenn is an icon of Hollywood and deserves that statue. Though if Sunset Boulevard ever gets made she’ll absolutely 100% win then. That’s just a question of if it gets made!

I think Roma will win Best Picture, seeing Green Book soon though so hopefully that's good too.

Olivia Coleman won Best Actress award @ Bafta Awards. Guess Glenn will be snubbed one more time.

I had never heard of Roma till last nights Bafta's. The fact it won best picture is also a puzzle to me for that reason.

You can tell when a movie is considered rubbish by these bodies when it only gets nominated in the best costume section!
Such as Mary Queen of Scots. Honestly a black actor playing a white real life person. Was the casting director NUTS!

MQoS wasn’t nominated mainly because it was good but fairly generic, not necessarily for the reasons you highlighted. And Margot has received some acting nominations for her role.

I haven’t seen it but she certain came from seemingly nowhere to claim all of the awards! She’s a great actress and I’ve enjoyed a lot of her work... but it’s Glenn’s turn. I hope.
