It's time again for the Madness tournament! When we last left off in March, Kylie Minogue took the championship with Dancing! Who will be our big winner for the summer?

For those of you new to this, we hosted a 2016 tournament in which all participants submitted eight songs, and then went against each other in head to head competition.

This is a tournament that involves your input. Each person submits eight songs and from those songs we create a single elimination tournament like this:

Please post your eight choices here. Please make sure you rank your songs. Keep in mind that in the preliminary rounds, the song with the higher ranking moves on in case of a tie.

You cannot use the same song as a song already previously submitted in the below tournaments:

If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the thread. You have until 6PM Mountain Time on September 13th to submit your choices. I am hopeful that's enough time to generate interest.

I will be put everything into the challonge bracket so we can track the match-ups. Rules for the tournament in the next post!

The rules:

1. There is no limit on the number of participants. The number of rounds is subject to the number of participants. Otherwise, we will go through a cycle of preliminaries (if necessary), quarter-finals, sweet sixteen, semi-finals, final four, and championship. Rounds will last 24-48 hours. I will post the full bracket at Challonge

2. Vote for the song you most prefer of the two songs listed. One vote for each battle per person. You are not required to vote on each battle. You do not have to submit songs to be able to vote.

3. In the first round, ties will be broken by higher seed number. For subsequent rounds, ties will be broken first by total cumulative vote, including previous rounds. Keep this in mind when you rank your songs. When you list your songs, please put them in order from 1-8, so that this rule may be applied.
