Dido is playing BBC Radio 2 in Concert on December 9!

The intimate performances will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 2, and on the BBC Red Button, then on BBC TV at a later date, and will be available on BBC iPlayer for 30 days after transmission.

Ahead of each artist's evening In Concert, Radio 2 listeners will be treated to special sound check tracks in Ken Bruce’s show (9.30am-12noon) as well as a pre-show and post-show interview with the artist that evening.

Another act making her Radio 2 In Concert debut this year is singer-songwriter Dido.

Dido is behind two of the best-selling albums in British chart history – 'No Angel' and 'Life for Rent', with 'No Angel' remaining the top-selling debut by a British woman worldwide. She has won three BRIT Awards, three Ivor Novello Awards and a Billboard Award. Having toured the US earlier this year, Dido will perform across South America and continental Europe in October, before returning for a series of live dates in the UK. Her performance at Radio 2 In Concert in December will be her final show of 2019.

Dido says: "2019 has been a really special year for me. Releasing the album, going on tour for the first time in 15 years and enjoying it more than ever. I’m loving travelling the world and doing shows and I can't imagine a better way to top off this year than by coming home and doing this show at the iconic Maida Vale Studios for Radio 2 In Concert."

It was a part of a festival performance, so it was shorter - 75 minutes, to be precise. She skipped End of Night, Take You Home, Have to Stay and Chances (this one was removed during the first leg). Other than that, it's the same set list. No Just Because (yet).

I guess she's not going to change the setlist, she's always been too professional in my opinion (unfortunately ☹️)

During Life for Rent tour she performed Who Makes You Feel at few dates, so there might be surprises. I know she's considering See the Sun as many fans requested it during M&G.

Do you know why Chances was removed? It sounded amazing live!

Do they plan to release a live album? Or a DVD?

I have no idea honestly. If she wanted to shorten a set list, I'd go with Sitting on the Roof of the World, but I know how much that song means to her.

Her BBC concert will be filmed and broadcasted for sure. Her manager said there is possibility to film some dates for eventual release and I believe London is most likely choice.

Same here! Im not a big fan of SOTROTW.

If they actually film something, there is something to look forward to next year at least.
