#010 TAYLOR SWIFT '...READY FOR IT?'

      PEAK: #1 (2017)
      POINTS: 777, certified 5x Platinum

This is one of the last songs that also appeared on the 2017 Year End Charts.
Although it already topped the charts for two weeks in 2017, the song proved great longevity on my single charts.
The song placed #78 on the 2017 Year End Charts.

    • #009 ALESSIA CARA 'SCARS TO YOUR BEAUTIFUL'

      PEAK: #1
      POINTS: 852, certified 4x Platinum

Although 'Scars To Your Beautiful' was already a single that was released in 2016, it didn't chart on my weekly charts until 2018. I don't know why I listened to this out of sudden, but I fell in love with it. Usually I don't let songs that are older than 6 months chart on my charts, but this song had an amazing effect on me. I was obsessed with it back in spring 2018 and still adore it a lot. Thankful for the song!

    • #008 SIGALA 'LULLABY (ft. PALOMA FAITH)'

      PEAK: #1
      POINTS: 1.012, certified 5x Platinum

I have never been a huge supporter of Sigala, his singles prior to 'Lullaby' didn't do much for me. Paloma Faith is a hit and miss for me. She already had a similiar song charting on my weekly charts ('Changing' by Sigma) that peaked at #12. 'Lullaby' was a surprise hit for me, it works perfectly fine! One of my favorite songs of the year places in the Top 10 on the Year End Charts.
Although I have been a big fan of the song, it took 14 weeks(!) until the song reached the Top of my charts. It's one of the longest climbers to the top. BUT there was a song that even took a little bit longer to reach the Top... it has still to come here!
This is the second time Paloma Faith places herself in the Year End Top 10. 'Only Love Can Hurt Like This' finished third place in 2015!

    • #007 ARIANA GRANDE 'NO TEARS LEFT TO CRY'

      PEAK: #1
      POINTS: 1.031, certified 5x Platinum

This was one of the biggest surprises for me this year. At first, I didn't like the song, it took a little bit until it grew on me. It took 15 weeks until the song reached the Top of my charts - the longest for this year and overall only two songs charted more weeks until they reached #1 eventually.

'No Tears Left To Cry' is also Ariana Grande's biggest single on my charts - and the first time she appears in a Top 10 Year End Chart!

    • #006 JESS GLYNNE 'I'LL BE THERE'

      PEAK: #1
      POINTS: 1.052, certified 5x Platinum

Jess Glynne has always been a monster on my charts. Hit after hit, she was able to place her songs very high, not only on the weekly charts but also on the Year End Charts. She is no newcomer to this section. In 2018, she was able to place 'I'll Be There' in the Year End Top 10.

      TOP #5-#1 coming soon !!!

"Havana" is a stunner - my #2 song of 2017! "Perfect" is beautiful, and probably my favourite Ed Sheeran song at this point. "Anywhere" is my beloved vacation anthem. "God Is a Woman" is a huge career marker for Ariana, just absolutely overwhelmingly amazing - immaculate song and video!

I love that "Scars to Your Beautiful" has now finished among the top 10 of three different UKMixers' year-end charts: Adam's in 2016, mine last year, and yours this year. What a song!
Do we settle for the world as it is, or do we work for the world as it should be?

Akini you are a machine, how do you recall that? You right though it's a classic.

All good songs here, though none made my hundred this year. I'm happy to listen to them all though. Lullaby I think is my fave new one.

Great start to the top 10. 'Ready For It' I really loved when it first came out, but now there's another song I prefer from this project. 'no tears left to cry' is a 2018 classic for sure!

#010 TAYLOR SWIFT '...READY FOR IT?'
#009 ALESSIA CARA 'SCARS TO YOUR BEAUTIFUL'
#008 SIGALA 'LULLABY (ft. PALOMA FAITH)'
#007 ARIANA GRANDE 'NO TEARS LEFT TO CRY'
#006 JESS GLYNNE 'I'LL BE THERE'

So far I'm enjoying all entries in your Top10. "Ready For It?" is awesome, I think I'll watch her Netflix doc (or concert) soon and I'm also planning to revisit "Reputation" soon, as "Ready For It?" and others have been stuck in my head again lately.

"Scars To Your Beautiful" has such a good message. A shame her new album wasn't a success (so far) as she's so likable... :(

Very happy how "No Tears Left To Cry" became such a surprise hit for you! It's such a brilliant pop song and a deserved biggest hit for Ariana on your charts

Top 10 is always my part of every chart. 'Ready For It' or how the title is stylized is the type of music I think Taylor should really provide to the fans, not such strange tries like 'Look What You Made Me Do'.

      POINTS: 1.083, certified 5x Platinum

'Friends' was a huge #1 hit on my charts, topping the charts for 8 consecutive weeks. It's the longest #1 hit of the year!

      PEAK: #1
      POINTS: 1.111, certified 5x Platinum

'2002' was the first of two songs to debut straight at #1 in 2018. It did amazing throughout the entire year and is still going strong on the weekly charts!

I think Anne-Marie is pretty great. I think she has had stronger songs than either of these but I enjoy them both, particularly Friends.

    #005 MARSHMELLO 'FRIENDS (ft. ANNE-MARIE)'
    #004 ANNE-MARIE - '2002'

Anne-Marie had a fantastic year when it comes to your charts Love "Friends" a lot, too! Glad it turned out as such a hit. As for "2002", I only think it's nice and the album has many better tunes than this IMO. Somehow it never really clicked with me as much as it should have...

'FRIENDS' is great, but '2002' i'm not that into and it represents Anne-Marie at her most bland.

"No Tears Left To Cry" is cute. "2002" isn't bad but it's so overplayed over here in my country.

#003 RITA ORA + LIAM PAYNE 'FOR YOU'

      PEAK: #1
      POINTS: 1.193, certified 5x Platinum

'FOR YOU' was a huge smash on my charts, topping the charts for several weeks. This song was a hot contender for the #1 Year End song, but was overtaken by #2 and #1 a few weeks ago.

    • #002 P!NK 'BEAUTIFUL TRAUMA'

      PEAK: #1 (2017/2018)
      POINTS: 1.244, certified 7x Platinum

P!NK once again proves she is one of the biggest artists on my charts. 'Beautiful Trauma' already topped the charts in late 2017 and was the first #1 in 2018, too. It charted at #1 for 10 consecutive weeks.
As I already said I still have a Front Of Stage ticket for her show in Munich on July 26 as no one I know is free on this day. If anyone here wants to see the show (w/ me ), don't hesitate to PM me.

    • #001 TAYLOR SWIFT 'LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO'

      PEAK: #1 (2017)
      POINTS: 1.401, certified 10x Platinum (1x Diamond)

A song that already charted at #14 on the 2017 Year End Charts climbs to #1 in 2018! 'Look What You Made Me Do' is not only Taylor Swift's most succesful single to date but also the first #1 Year End hit for her. 'Look What You Made Me Do' was a huge hit on my charts and is still going strong. My fandom was probably at its peak so it's no surprise she places at #1 this year.

"For You" isn't as good as "I Don't Wanna Live Forever", but it's good! "Beautiful Trauma" is just okay for me; P!nk is capable of, and has done, much better.

There are parts of "Look What You Made Me Do" that are excellent - like the first verse, for instance - but overall, it's a bit sub-par for her. I do love the music video, though. Overall, strong countdown!

Taylor's song is great, weird to see it charting so "late" though better late than never!

      #10 IMAGINE DRAGONS - EVOLVE

Favorite tracks: Thunder, I'll Make It Up To You, Yesterday, I Don't Know Why
This album already charted at #3 on the 2017 Year End Charts. This just shows how much of a monster this album was for me!

#09 JESS GLYNNE - ALWAYS IN BETWEEN

Favorite tracks: Never Let Me Go, 1 2 3, I'll Be There, All I Am, Thursday
I was pretty hyped for this album as I loved most of her debut album and it was a huge blockbuster on my charts. This album is good but didn't live up to my expectations.

#08 LANA DEL REY - LUST FOR LIFE

Favorite tracks: Beautiful People Beautiful Problems, White Mustang, Love, Coachella - Woodstock In My Mind
Another album that makes it to the Top 10 Year End for a second consecutive year! 'Lust For Life' already placed #5 on the 2017 Year End Charts. This album especially had a great chart run because 'Ultraviolence' and 'Honeymoon' were so big, I feel 'Lust For Life' lacks something as a whole. Still a great record!

#07 Lily Allen - No Shame

Favorite tracks: Family Man, Apples, What You Waiting For?, Lost My Mind
Lily Allen served a quality record this year. Although I really need to listen to the entire record to appreciate it as a whole, I do like a lot of individual tracks!

      #06 Ariana Grande - Sweetener

Favorite tracks: No Tears Left To Cry, God Is A Woman, Breathin, Better Off, Goodnight N Go, Succesful
So far, this is Ariana Grande's highest peak on a Year End Chart, beating the 2016 #8 position for 'Dangerous Woman'. 'Sweetener' is a cohesive albums that includes some of her best tunes and also her best song so far. It was also the very first CD by Ariana Grande that I bought.

      #05 Eminem - Revival

Favorite tracks: Like Home featuring Alicia Keys, Need Me featuring P!nk, In Your Head, Tragic Endings featuring Skylar Grey, Nowhere Fast featuring Kehlani
The first Eminem album in years not to top the weekly album charts was still a strong contender on the Year End Charts to end up very high as I think the album as a whole is good!

#04 Kelly Clarkson - Meaning Of Life

Favorite tracks: I Don't Think About You, Go High, Love So Soft, Meaning Of Life, Wouldn't You Call That Love
Actually, this is Kelly Clarkson's best album for me. It did amazing in 2018! It didn't top the album charts in 2017 but it finally got there in early 2018 and performed very well on the weekly charts.

      #03 Anne-Marie - Speak Your Mind

Favorite tracks: 2002, Heavy, Ciao Adios, Cry, Bad Girlfriend, Friends
I was really hyped for this album and the wait was worth it. A strong debut album with lots of great songs.

      #02 P!nk - Beautiful Trauma

Favorite tracks: Barbies, Beautiful Trauma, Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken, Revenge featuring Eminem, Better Life, I Am Here
Probably no surprise to see P!nk so high on my year end charts. 'Beautiful Trauma' was a huge success on my charts, cannot wait for her 2019 stadium tour!

      #01 Taylor Swift - Reputation

Favorite tracks: This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things, Gorgeous, Look What You Made Me Do, ...Ready For It?, Dress, New Year's Day, I Did Something Bad, King Of My Heart
Taylor Swift also takes the crown on the album charts. 'Reputation' played an important role in my 2018 actually. I already liked the album a lot in 2017 but in 2018 I was at probably at the peak of my Taylor Swift fandom!
There are actually lots of songs on the album that really characterises my year 2018 - if you follow my Instagram stories you might know why - 'This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things', currently in my Top 5 favorite songs by Taylor Swift, perfectly helped me to get over friendships I gave up as I felt cornered, judged for every little move I did and it didn't felt right as a whole anymore. The song itself also describes the nice moments of a friendships 'it was so nice throwing big parties, jumping to the pool from the balcony', ... 'it was so nice being friends again'... and yeah I have to say I am thankful for it when it was great because I experienced lots of good stuff, too. But the song made me feel okay with my decision.
With 'Dress' it's actually a fun story - I already knew a guy via GRINDR and we met several times and one night we met in a club by accident and as I went home w/ him , my friends thought we hooked up for the first time that night... 'our secret moments in a crowded room, they've got no idea, about me and you' - describes the situation perfectly and such a funny story to look back to.
'Gorgeous' is such a cute song, I love it a lot - perfectly fitswhen you fancy someone (which I did a lot this year)
'Look What You Made Me Do', or as I call it 'Look What Society Made Me Do' is a big statement.
Actually most of the songs had a huge effect on me. For Pride in my city I even made a Taylor Swift-inspired shirt . Shameless promo I'd say. (ignore the green on the picture, my flat was messy when I did that Instagram story!)
