Dua Lipa rules. 3 songs in Top 20. Amazing.

Also Mr. Brightside being #80 makes me really happy. The Killers deserved more success with their later albums, but if they can't have it then at least one surefire classic isn't a bad thing.

^^ According to Wikipedia, it has to do with 'the song's popularity at parties, its popularity on streaming services, and the continued presence of The Killers as a popular live band in the UK'. UK people surely don't seem to be fed up with it - after 15 (!) years.

These days the Year End chart has gone from being a 100m sprint to a 10k race... it's now going to be impossible for tracks released in the last 3 months of the year to get inside the top 40. It's no longer about which tracks can sell the most in one or two weeks but which tracks can stick around the longest over the year.

I feel like George Ezra is literally only a thing in British charts. Such a non entity everywhere else. I don't remember seeing a single news about him online throughout the year. Yet he still has #2 album in UK?

Thanks for those two rounded sales figures Robbie. Can't believe that not even the biggest-selling title of the year didn't even breach the 300K mark, despite the collapse going on in that sector. I suppose it's too much to expect a detailed breakdown of sales/streams figures for the combined EOY Top 50/100?

I've not seen them available anywhere. The OCC will have them as will ERA but neither have made them public.
