Well, it's officially been 20 years since I started my chart. It was the afternoon of January 10, 1999 and I was listening to the Rick Dees Weekly Top 40. I'd thought over the previous few months of making a chart of my own, and I figured with a new year just having started, why not then?

The first chart was the hardest to make as I was starting fresh but I had a rough idea of where the songs would be. I'd remembered current songs I'd enjoyed then and ranked them as I thought of them until I had 40 songs, being the only chart I decided the positions randomly as since then, I've been compiling starting on the top and working my way to the bottom.

The top 10 on that first chart looked like this:
    1. Shawn Mullins - Lullaby
    2. Eagle-Eye Cherry - Save Tonight
    3. Britney Spears - Baby One More Time
    4. Alanis Morissette - Thank U
    5. Jewel - Hands
    6. Celine Dion & R. Kelly - I'm Your Angel
    7. Mariah Carey & Whitney Houston - When You Believe
    8. New Radicals - You Get What You Give
    9. U2 - Sweetest Thing
    10. Cher - Believe

In the initial few years, my charts were mostly based on what songs I'd heard on the radio being based around the pop hits of that era. But then in 2001, I'd joined the Radio & Records message board, which I was a member of for two years until its closure, and while I posted my chart there, which was the first time I'd ever shared it with anyone else, it helped broaden my horizons to the point where, in August 2002, I'd expanded my chart to a top 100, which it has remained to this day. While I've come and gone from many forums over the years, the ones I, and therefore my chart, have been most prominent on are M4B Charts Central and UKMIX, which have hosted my chart posts for most of its existence online and continue to do so today.

In 2008, I first heard of Kate Voegele, who quickly became my favourite singer ever and became a dominant force on my chart, setting many records in the process. The combination of her, and the enduring Kelly Clarkson who had previously been accomplished as one of my chart's most successful artists a few years prior, helped bridge the 2000's into the 2010's where both have remained my most successful core artists, and the only artists with over 20 #1's to date on my chart.

Over the years, my chart has moved away from the pop hits of the day, both due to lessening interest because of varying rap styles such as crunk, ringtone rap and mumble rap and singers with irritating voices dominating the pop charts, as well as exposure to more music that suited my tastes well and favourites of other message board members due to word of mouth (indeed, other songs similar to my core artists' styles became huge hits on my chart in their own right!) But in the 2010's, another big trend has been nostalgia - as I discover deeper into the discographies of artists of the 1970's, 1980's and 1990's that I've always been a casual fan of, I've maintained an interest in hearing current music from them, and in many cases I've enjoyed their newer songs as much as their classics. And many core artists that I enjoyed in the 2000's, despite lessening commercial success, have stayed strong well into the 2010's for me, solidifying my chart as one where core artists maintain consistency.

Over the next 100 days, I will be taking you down my chart's history, with my top 100 artists and top 1500 songs of the past 20 years. We will revisit many favourites of mine that achieved success on my chart and count down the songs that helped make my chart what it is.

    100. FOO FIGHTERS

    Seattle, WA, USA (1994-present)

Following the death of Nirvana lead singer Kurt Cobain, their drummer Dave Grohl started a new band, who became the Foo Fighters. If there is any gold standard band for consistency over the past quarter century, these guys have to be a top contender, with 24 top 10 hits on the modern rock chart during this time span. And while their first two albums, which had many of their classics on them, pre-dated my chart, they have still hit with a fairly consistent record during my chart's era, with three of their 23 chart appearances to date reaching the top 10.

    Biggest hits:
    1. Learn To Fly
    2. Something From Nothing
    3. Saint Cecilia
    4. Times Like These
    5. Run
    6. Best Of You
    7. Soldier
    8. The Pretender
    9. Wheels
    10. All My Life

At #99: A Eurodance trio from Germany

1500. Red Hot Chili Peppers - The Zephyr Song
    1499. George Michael - Amazing
    1498. Sonique - Sky
1497. Missy Elliott - Work It
    1496. Ryan Cabrera - Photo
    1495. Steps - I Will Love Again
    1494. Kate Voegele - I Don't Want To Be
1493. Nelly Furtado - Hey Man
    1492. Avril Lavigne - Alice
    1491. Ella Henderson - Ghost
1490. Goo Goo Dolls - Over And Over
    1489. Emii - Magic
1488. Jason Mraz & Colbie Caillat - Lucky
1487. Taylor Swift - Sweeter Than Fiction
    1486. Hilary Duff - Stranger

We have the highest (and therefore only) appearances from British pop quintet Steps (covering a Lara Fabian song), the late George Michael (whose career mostly predates my chart), and pop sirens Ella Henderson and Emii, while Sonique's follow-up to her big hit appears as well as heavy hitting artists such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Goo Goo Dolls, Missy Elliott, Ryan Cabrera, Kate Voegele, Nelly Furtado, Avril Lavigne, Jason Mraz, Colbie Caillat, Taylor Swift and Hilary Duff, many of whom make my top 100 artists of my chart's 20 year era.

Congrats on two decades of chart composition! This will be a fun ride.

I'm not a Foo Fighters fan, but I like these songs from the songs list so far, "Ghost" being my favourite. "Lucky" is super romantic.

    1491. Ella Henderson - Ghost
1488. Jason Mraz & Colbie Caillat - Lucky

1487. Taylor Swift - Sweeter Than Fiction

    99. CASCADA

    Bonn, Germany (2004-present)

At #99 we have the trio of DJ's Manian and Yanou and singer Natalie Horler, collectively known as Cascada. As one of the top Eurodance acts of the 21st century, they caught my attention in 2006 with "Everytime We Touch", and managed to maintain some amounts of success for some time afterwards. However, the song that really captivated me was "Evacuate The Dancefloor", the lead single from their third album, which became their only #1 to date on my chart. They have continued to release to this day and even represented their homeland Germany at Eurovision.

Next at #98: A British girl group who failed to get attention outside their homeland but were a personal chart favourite.

    Top 10 hits:
    1. Evacuate The Dancefloor
    2. Everytime We Touch
    3. Dangerous
    4. Summer Of Love
    5. Perfect Day
    6. Pyromania
    7. Playground
    8. Miracle
    9. Fever
    10. Reason

    1485. Garbage - Special
1484. Phil Collins - Going Back
    1483. OneRepublic - Say (All I Need)
1482. Madonna feat. Nicki Minaj & M.I.A. - Give Me All Your Luvin'
1481. Bryan Adams - She Knows Me
    1480. Kelly Rowland - Stole
1479. Stacie Orrico - I'm Not Missing You
1478. Sean Paul - We Be Burnin'
1477. Black Eyed Peas - Pump It
1476. David Archuleta - Something 'Bout Love
1475. Tyler Shaw - By My Side
    1474. Sugar Ray - When It's Over
    1473. Faith Hill - There You'll Be
    1472. Ashley Tisdale - It's Alright, It's OK
1471. Jason Derulo - Want To Want Me

I expected Foo Fighters to be a bit higher. To me, their best record is still the classic 1997 ''The Colour And The Shape''.

    98. GIRLS ALOUD

    London, UK (2002-2013)

We're up to a girl group from the UK who really didn't make it outside their homeland (indeed, I have UKMIX to thank for discovering their music back in the day), but on personal charts, they were a huge favourite in the 2000's. While their output overall was fairly inconsistent with songs peaking all over my chart, they had enough I enjoyed to get them into my top 100 artists of the past 20 years. Their unique pop style captivated chart makers and gave them many hits across personal chart communities during their existence as a group, and while both Cheryl and Nadine have made my chart since their split as solo artists, neither had the impact for me that they did while in Girls Aloud.

    1. The Loving Kind
    2. I'll Stand By You
    3. Call The Shots
    4. See The Day
    5. Sexy! No No No
    6. Long Hot Summer
    7. Life Got Cold
    8. Something New
    9. Untouchable
    10. Can't Speak French

#97: A recent Grammy winner for Best New Artist

1470. Fatboy Slim - The Rockafeller Skank
    1469. Melissa Etheridge - Refugee
    1468. All-American Rejects - Move Alone
    1467. D12 - My Band
1466. Bryan Adams - The Best Of Me
    1465. Demi Lovato - I Will Survive
1464. Mariah Carey - Don't Forget About Us
    1463. Kandi - Don't Think I'm Not
1462. Michael Jackson - You Rock My World
1461. Giorgio Moroder feat. Kylie Minogue - Right Here, Right Now
1460. Fall Out Boy - Dance, Dance
1459. Kylie Minogue - Stop Me From Falling
1458. Janet Jackson - No Sleeep
    1457. Pearl Jam - Can't Deny Me
1456. BBMak - Out Of My Heart (Into Your Head)

Here we have crashouts for Eminem's group D12 (he's got plenty to come solo though), Kandi, and Giorgio Moroder (as the bulk of his career pre-dates my chart). We also have legendary DJ Fatboy Slim, pop-rock bands All-American Rejects and Fall Out Boy, Melissa Etheridge covering Tom Petty for her greatest hits album, Demi Lovato covering Gloria Gaynor for "Angry Birds", Bryan Adams with a greatest hits single, Mariah Carey with a song from her mid-2000's comeback, 2 Kylie Minogue songs including one from just last year, Pearl Jam's return from last year, a BBMak hit from 2002 and the 2 most successful Jackson family siblings - Michael and Janet!

    97. ALESSIA CARA

Born July 11, 1996, Brampton, ON, Canada

At #97, from the suburbs of Toronto, we have a young female singer-songwriter Alessia Cara. Her alternative pop sound and candid songwriting about relateable topics have helped her music resonate for me thus far; this appeal helped her win the Grammy for Best New Artist last year. To date, she has released two albums, several singles from which have charted for me, but her only #1 so far has been the Disney song "How Far I'll Go"!

    1. How Far I'll Go
    2. Scars To Your Beautiful
    3. Wild Things
    4. Growing Pains
    5. Here
    6. Stay (with Zedd)
    7. Seventeen
    8. Wild (with Troye Sivan)
    9. I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues
    10. Not Today

#96: The only artist from New Zealand to make the list.

1455. Shawn Mendes - Something Big
    1454. Lasgo - Something
1453. Coldplay - Viva La Vida
1452. Anna Kendrick - Cups (When I'm Gone)
1451. Courage My Love - Animal Heart

1444. Pussycat Dolls - I Hate This Part

    96. LORDE

Born: November 7, 1996, Auckland, New Zealand

At #96 we have New Zealand's singer-songwriter who got her start in her teens, Lorde! Her alternative stylings influenced many others to follow and took the world by storm in 2013 when her hits from "Pure Heroine", "Royals" and "Team" became huge worldwide smashes. However, the album that really did it for me was her second album, "Melodrama". While lead single "Green Light" was a big hit for me, she ended up hitting #1 twice from that album - with "Perfect Places" and "Supercut". I'm hopeful that she will continue in the same quality in the future!

    1. Supercut
    2. Perfect Places
    3. Green Light
    4. Homemade Dynamite
    5. Precious Metals
    6. No Better
    7. Royals
    8. Glory And Gore
    9. Magnets (with Disclosure)
    10. Team

#95: The least prolific artist in the top 100 - made it in on just three songs! To date, she has not released a full album.

    1440. Maroon 5 - Sugar
1439. Simple Plan - Perfectly Perfect
1438. Andee - Black And White Heart
    1437. Toni Braxton - Yesterday
1436. Naomi Striemer - Fall Behind
1435. Big Time Rush - Music Sounds Better With You
    1434. Robbie Williams - Supreme
1433. Usher feat. Swedish House Mafia - Numb
1432. Sarah McLachlan - World On Fire
1431. Young Artists For Haiti - Wavin' Flag
1430. Bruno Mars - It Will Rain
1429. Rihanna - California King Bed
1428. Jason Derulo - Whatcha Say
1427. Britney Spears feat. G-Eazy - Make Me...
1426. Bruno Mars - Versace On The Floor

    95. LAUREN WINANS

    Origin: Buckhannon, WV, USA

Here is the only artist in the entire top 100 that has never released a full album - indeed, she has had only five singles that I know of to date, of which I have heard, and charted, three. Originally hailing from West Virginia and currently based out of Nashville, she caught my attention with the heartbreak anthem "Better At Breaking", which made an instant impact for me and became my #1 of 2014. The momentum from this single continued into two other #1's - "Wicked Game" and "Sexy Goodbye". Lauren finds herself among those with much more prolific careers just based on the strength of these three songs combined - they're enough to put her into my top 100 artists of the past 20 years!

    1. Better At Breaking
    2. Wicked Game
    3. Sexy Goodbye

#94: A Canadian singer-songwriter who was most popular in the 1990's, and the only artist in the top 100 without a top 5 hit on my chart.

    1425. Usher - U Don't Have To Call
1424. Ryan Cabrera - 40 Kinds Of Sadness
    1423. Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Catch You
1422. Matt Nathanson feat. Lolo - Headphones
    1421. Serena Ryder - What I Wouldn't Do
1420. Alyssa Reid feat. Likewise - Badlands
    1419. Blondie - Fun
    1418. Mandy Moore - Candy
1417. Jewel - Down So Long
1416. These Kids Wear Crowns - I Wanna Dance With Somebody
1415. New Kids On The Block - Summertime
1414. Fifth Harmony - Miss Movin' On
1413. Sam Roberts - Brother Down
1412. 3 Doors Down feat. Bob Seger - Landing In London
    1411. Lights - Giants

Among the artists crashing out here are British dance diva Sophie Ellis-Bextor, American singer-songwriter Matt Nathanson and Canadian artists These Kids Wear Crowns and Sam Roberts. Other Canadian artists in this set, all of whom still have others to come, are Serena Ryder, Lights and Alyssa Reid. We also have a comeback hit from New Kids On The Block, as well as among the many in the list from Ryan Cabrera, Usher, Jewel, Mandy Moore and 3 Doors Down. We also have a "nostalgia always wins" moment from Blondie from... 2017! And, believe it or not... as much as I may trash talk them these days (especially their noted solo breakout Camila Cabello)... there was a time when, shockingly, the group I call "Filth No-Harmony" actually had a top 10 hit on my chart!

    94. SARAH MCLACHLAN

Born: January 28, 1968, Halifax, NS, Canada

While the peak of her career pre-dated the start of my chart, she was still fairly successful when it started, as songs like "Angel" and "I Will Remember You" were top 10 hits early on. Her "Afterglow" album, one of my favourites of hers, was successful on my chart, as its first three singles were all top 10 hits for me. After this, she didn't have as much success though she still does occasionally chart, with greatest hits single "U Want Me 2" making my top 20. Still, with all the chart appearances she's had, despite lacking a top 5, she had enough to make my top 100 artists!

    1. Fallen
    2. I Will Remember You
    3. Stupid
    4. Angel
    5. U Want Me 2
    6. World On Fire
    7. Push
    8. Blackbird
    9. Just Like Me (with DMC)
    10. Ice Cream

#93: An American pop-rock band whose lead singer has written and produced for many other artists.

    1410. Plain White T's - Should've Gone To Bed
    1409. Barlow - Walk Away
1408. The Calling - Our Lives
1407. Ja Rule - Livin' It Up
1406. Matchbox Twenty - These Hard Times
1405. Needtobreathe feat. Gavin DeGraw - Brother
1404. Jessica Simpson - I Wanna Love You Forever
1403. Kylie Minogue - Come Into My World
    1402. 98 Degrees - My Everything
    1401. Fefe Dobson - Don't Go (Girls & Boys)
1400. David Usher - The Music
1399. Havana Brown - Flashing Lights
1398. All Saints - Rock Steady
1397. David Usher - Alone In The Universe
    1396. Sarah McLachlan - U Want Me 2

    93. ONEREPUBLIC

    Colorado Springs, CO, USA (2002-present)

At #93 we find Ryan Tedder and his band OneRepublic! They first broke through in 2007 when Timbaland remixed their song "Apologize" and it became a huge worldwide #1 hit. Their album "Dreaming Out Loud" became a modern classic, and songs like "Stop & Stare" and "Say (All I Need)" also made my top 10 with the former reaching #1. Over the following years they charted several times, including "All The Right Moves" and "Counting Stars", but it wasn't until "Kids" when they got a second #1 for me. They continue to chart to this day, including last year's top 20 hit "Connection".

    1. Stop & Stare
    2. Kids
    3. Apologize
    4. Say (All I Need)
    5. Connection
    6. Wherever I Go
    7. Love Runs Out
    8. Feel Again
    9. If I Lose Myself
    10. Mercy

#92: Canadian rock band who started in the 90's, but continued their success in my chart era.

1395. Nelly feat. Jaheim - My Place
1394. Iggy Azalea feat. Charli XCX - Fancy
    1393. 112 - Peaches & Cream
    1392. Ricki-Lee - Raining Diamonds
1391. Dido - Life For Rent
1390. Foreigner feat. Nate Ruess - I Want To Know What Love Is
    1389. Madonna - Jump
1388. Ariana Grande feat. Iggy Azalea - Problem
1387. Kelly Clarkson - Don't Let Me Stop You
1386. Big Time Rush - Windows Down
    1385. Emblem3 - 3000 Miles
1384. Ruff Endz - No More
1383. Naomi Striemer - Even Now
1382. Alanis Morissette - So Pure
    1381. Nickelback - Far Away

So here, we have the highest entries for Australian rapper Iggy Azalea (both as a lead and as a feature), American R&B groups 112 and Ruff Endz, Australian pop star Ricki-Lee, classic rock band Foreigner (with an assist from Nate Ruess on a self-remake), boy bands Big Time Rush and Emblem3, and personal chart favourite Naomi Striemer. We also have among the many songs in the list by Nelly, Dido, Madonna, Ariana Grande, Kelly Clarkson, Alanis Morissette and Nickelback - haven't seen the last of any of those by any means!

OneRepublic have put together a nice decade plus of music.

Nickelback may well be my fav in that set.

Cascada have some stunning dancefloor anthems. "Evacuate the Dancefloor" is their biggest hit on my chart, too.

Girls Aloud are the greatest girl group in history, in my opinion! UKMix introduced me to them, and they've grown to be one of my all-time favourite acts. Great to see "Untouchable" among your top faves from them. That one's their finest.

I don't love Alessia Cara's interpretation of "How Far I'll Go" - Auli'i Cravalho did a much better job with the track - but "Scars to Your Beautiful" is absolutely, insanely uplifting. I doubt she'll ever top that gem for me, but I'm still fairly interested in her as an artist. She definitely has talent.

It seems that we agree that Lorde's Melodrama is her key album to date, but differ on the songs! For me, "Sober" and "Green Light" are the two stunners, but Lorde is easily one of the finest artists under 25 in the industry. She is immensely talented - probably one of the best songwriters in the industry right now.

OneRepublic are more of a singles act for me. I was introduced to them through "Apologize" and "Stop and Stare", but their best song for me is probably "Counting Stars".

From the running songs list, I appreciate/love:

1482. Madonna feat. Nicki Minaj & M.I.A. - Give Me All Your Luvin'
    1480. Kelly Rowland - Stole
1476. David Archuleta - Something 'Bout Love
    1473. Faith Hill - There You'll Be
    1472. Ashley Tisdale - It's Alright, It's OK
    1468. All-American Rejects - Move Along
1464. Mariah Carey - Don't Forget About Us
1462. Michael Jackson - You Rock My World
1461. Giorgio Moroder feat. Kylie Minogue - Right Here, Right Now
1459. Kylie Minogue - Stop Me From Falling
1455. Shawn Mendes - Something Big
1453. Coldplay - Viva La Vida
    1447. Clay Aiken - Invisible
1444. Pussycat Dolls - I Hate This Part
    1443. Taylor Swift - Gorgeous
1430. Bruno Mars - It Will Rain
1429. Rihanna - California King Bed
1428. Jason Derulo - Whatcha Say
1427. Britney Spears feat. G-Eazy - Make Me...
1426. Bruno Mars - Versace On The Floor
1403. Kylie Minogue - Come Into My World
1394. Iggy Azalea feat. Charli XCX - Fancy
1391. Dido - Life For Rent
    1389. Madonna - Jump
1388. Ariana Grande feat. Iggy Azalea - Problem

    92. OUR LADY PEACE

    Toronto, ON, Canada (1992-present)

While the 90's were a great decade for Canadian alternative rock bands, especially on MuchMusic, very few managed long-term success beyond that decade. Our Lady Peace was a huge exception, having survived the 90's - and thriving beyond. While their first two albums pre-dated my chart, songs like "Somewhere Out There" - their only #1 for me - kept their success going well into the 2000's. They have so far hit my top 10 four times and had several other hits on my chart during the past 20 years, including some as recently as last year.

    1. Somewhere Out There
    2. Innocent
    3. Won't Turn Back
    4. All You Did Was Save My Life
    5. Angels Losing Sleep
    6. Where Are You
    7. Thief
    8. Life
    9. One Man Army
    10. In Repair

    91. One of the biggest alternative rock breakthroughs of the 2000's, they just released a new single this week.

    1380. Pink - So What
1379. Goo Goo Dolls - Stay With You
    1378. Stefy - Chelsea
1377. Andrew Allen - Thinking About You
1376. Taylor Swift - Today Was A Fairytale
1375. John Mellencamp feat. India.Arie - Peaceful World
1374. The Offspring - Kristy, Are You Doing Okay?
1373. Owl City feat. Britt Nicole - You're Not Alone
1372. Wayne Wonder - No Letting Go
    1371. Prozzak - Be As
1370. Five For Fighting - Slice
1369. Spice Girls - Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)
    1368. Anniela - Strip Teaser
    1367. Lifehouse - Flight
    1366. Alicia Keys - A Woman's Worth

Among the acts here with their highest appearances are Stefy, Andrew Allen, Wayne Wonder, Prozzak and Anniela; all the others have more songs to come.

    91. THE KILLERS

    Las Vegas, NV, USA (2001-present)

Among the biggest alternative rock bands of my chart's era is the Las Vegas band The Killers. Influenced by 80's alternative rock, their debut album "Hot Fuss" made a huge splash, and had a solid streak of hits, including a song that reached #1 on my chart, "Mr. Brightside". The "Sam's Town" era was equally big for me and they've continued to chart in some form ever since, though none of their stuff since has matched up to their first two albums. They just released a new single "Land Of The Free" this week, we shall see how that does in coming weeks.

    1. Mr. Brightside
    2. When You Were Young
    3. Bones
    4. All These Things That I've Done
    5. Read My Mind
    6. Spaceman
    7. Smile Like You Mean It
    8. Human
    9. Somebody Told Me
    10. A Dustland Fairytale

#90. The biggest Australian pop group of this decade.

    1365. Hilary Duff - Fly
1364. Goo Goo Dolls - Rebel Beat
    1363. LFO - Summer Girls
    1362. Destiny's Child - Girl
1361. Goo Goo Dolls - Broadway
1360. Bloodhound Gang - The Bad Touch
1359. Alicia Keys - Blended Family (What You Do For Love)
1358. Rachel Stevens - So Good
1357. Girls Aloud - See The Day
1356. Alanis Morissette - Joining You
1355. The Girl And The Dreamcatcher - My Way
    1354. Eve 6 - Here's To The Night
    1353. Bowling For Soup - 1985
1352. Justin Bieber - One Time
    1351. Madonna - Celebration

Most of these acts have songs still to come, but here are the highest entries from the Bloodhound Gang, Rachel Stevens as a solo artist, The Girl And The Dreamcatcher, Bowling For Soup, and yes... even Justin Bieber made it in one time!

    90. 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER

    Sydney, Australia (2011-present)

These boys from Australia have taken the world by storm since 2014 and delivered their fair share of irresistible pop smashes! Their biggest hit, "Youngblood" was released last year and was a huge worldwide #1 hit, but just narrowly misses out as my favourite to early hit "Amnesia". With their current single "Lie To Me" rising up charts worldwide, the future is looking bright for 5 Seconds Of Summer!

    1. Amnesia
    2. Youngblood
    3. She's Kinda Hot
    4. Hey Everybody!
    5. She Looks So Perfect
    6. Valentine
    7. Want You Back
    8. What I Like About You
    9. Girls Talk Boys
    10. Don't Stop

    89. A group that, due to many factors, including gross overplay, I simply can't stand anymore.

    1350. 5 Seconds Of Summer - She's Kinda Hot
1349. Emilia - Big Big World
    1348. Mario Winans feat. P. Diddy & Enya - I Don't Wanna Know
1347. Vertical Horizon - Save Me From Myself
    1346. INXS - Afterglow
1345. Madonna - What It Feels Like For A Girl
1344. Sheryl Crow - The First Cut Is The Deepest
    1343. 98 Degrees - The Hardest Thing
    1342. Dixie Chicks - Landslide
    1341. Paloma Faith - Til I'm Done
    1340. Numéro# - Tout Est Parfait
1339. Enrique Iglesias feat. Kelis - Not In Love
1338. Switchfoot & Lifehouse - Shine Like Gold
1337. Keshia Chante - Lights Out
1336. Lenny Kravitz - The Chamber

So we get to the highest entries from Emilia, Mario Winans, Keshia Chante and the Dixie Chicks, while Numéro# has the only French song in the list. We also have the recently revealed 5 Seconds Of Summer with their third highest song, Vertical Horizon with a 2009 comeback, INXS with a single from their period with J.D. Fortune as lead singer, Madonna with the song with the controversial video "WIFLf*g", Sheryl Crow covering Cat Stevens, 98 Degrees with one of many classics they did, a recent single from Paloma Faith, Enrique Iglesias teaming up with Kelis, a hurricane relief single from Switchfoot and Lifehouse and Lenny Kravitz's 2014 comeback.

My favourite Killers song is "Somebody Told Me", but I'm not a huge fan of the band. I've recently warmed up to 5SOS. "Youngblood" is a huge bop!

    1380. Pink - So What
1376. Taylor Swift - Today Was A Fairytale
    1366. Alicia Keys - A Woman's Worth
    1362. Destiny's Child - Girl
1359. Alicia Keys - Blended Family (What You Do For Love)
1352. Justin Bieber - One Time
    1351. Madonna - Celebration

    89. BLACK EYED PEAS

    Los Angeles, CA, USA (1992-present)

Originally when I first heard them, I enjoyed their mix of socially conscious themes and party anthems with their then-unique style of hip-hop and the "Elephunk" and "Monkey Business" singles in particular have held up well for me. Then came the extremely overplayed and generic "E.N.D." era which to this day, I am STILL sick of - I can't listen to the big hits from that era at all anymore as I am so burned out on them. The final straw came when they released "The Beginning", and its lead single "The Time (Dirty Bit)" remains one of my most hated songs of all time since. Even their solo stuff since has struggled - Will.i.am has released much hated stuff since as well as Fergie with the awful "M.I.L.F. $". It would take a miracle for any of them to ever get back to the upper regions of my chart, as they have become beyond ruined for me, but the Black Eyed Peas, despite this, still make my top 100 artists of my chart's era based on their 2001-06 stuff mostly despite this period of sheer hatred towards them.

    1. Where Is The Love
    2. Don't Phunk With My Heart
    3. Don't Lie
    4. Let's Get It Started
    5. Pump It
    6. Gone Going
    7. Shut Up
    8. Hey Mama
    9. Request Line
    10. Rock That Body

    88. Canadian pop-rock band who really didn't make it outside of Canada.

1335. Third Eye Blind - Jumper
    1334. All-American Rejects - Swing Swing
    1333. Garbage - Empty
1332. Outkast - The Way You Move
1331. Sean Paul - Like Glue
1330. Kelly Clarkson feat. John Legend - Run Run Run
    1329. K-Os - Sunday Morning
    1328. Ashlee Simpson - Shadow
1327. Kelly Clarkson - Meaning Of Life
1326. Serena Ryder - Got Your Number
1325. Jesse McCartney - Back Together
1324. Ash Richards - Second Guess
    1323. Jessie J - Domino
1322. Faith Hill - The Way You Love Me
1321. Daniel Powter - Free Loop

    88. FABER DRIVE

    Mission, BC, Canada (2004-present)

At #88, we find one of many artists from the B.C. lower mainland pop-punk scene, Faber Drive. Discovered by Chad Kroeger, they made their big breakthrough in 2007 with the "Seven Second Surgery" album, which included several big hits for me, including the #2 "Tongue Tied" and the #1 "When I'm With You". The second album, "Can't Keep A Secret" continued the success with two more top 5's. While they have not released an album since 2012, I'm hoping that when they do return, they can resume right where they left off with more great music like they've had so far.

    1. When I'm With You
    2. Tongue Tied
    3. G-Get Up And Dance!
    4. You And I Tonight
    5. Life Is Waiting
    6. Give Him Up
    7. Second Chance
    8. Sleepless Nights (Never Let Her Go)
    9. The Payoff
    10. Do It In Hollywood

    87. A versatile American solo artist who blends rock and roll, funk, soul and many other styles.

1320. Marc Anthony - You Sang To Me
    1319. Fergie - Finally
    1318. Katrina - So Eden
1317. Kanye West - Love Lockdown
    1316. Troye Sivan - Youth
1315. Taylor Swift - ...Ready For It?
    1314. Bon Jovi - We Don't Run
1313. Duran Duran - All You Need Is Now
    1312. Fountains Of Wayne - Stacy's Mom
1311. Three Days Grace - I Am Machine
    1310. U2 - Electrical Storm
1309. Fastball - I Will Never Let You Down
1308. Ricky Martin & Christina Aguilera - Nobody Wants To Be Lonely
    1307. Kanye West - Stronger
    1306. Maroon 5 - Harder To Breathe
