R KELLY ACCUSES AUTISTIC FAN OF 'SMOKING PERCOCET'

Lenny Felix was out in Hollywood when he ran into Kelly outside a nightclub. You can tell from a video Kelly shot and posted, the 27-year-old fan was star struck. The singer and his crew responded by baiting Lenny into singing, "I Believe I Can Fly."

Instead of showing warmth or appreciation, Kelly looked into the camera and mockingly sang, "I believe that you high ... smoking on that Percocet."

Kelly's pals burst into laughter, but Lenny's family was shocked and feel he was victimized. They tell us Lenny's reaction to the clip was, "I don't want him to think I'm dumb. Do you think he was making fun of me?"

His mom is heartbroken, and says the family has met with an attorney. You'll recall ... 50 Cent, Shaquille O'Neal and Waka Flaka have been sued after mocking fans with disabilities.

Okay people I do not like r kelly but as I am working with people with autism I just have to defend him. You’re all slashing him but that specific guy with autism isn’t one you notice it in. There are people you can tell from afar they have a disability and there are the ones like the one in the video that are especially problematic somehow. They need special attention but nobody notices it. R Kelly did something that was not nice, making fun of a fan. But he couldn’t have know that he has autism. That guy looks totally normal, I know this type of autism and it is tricky. So if anything at all, judge him for being mean to a fan, not being mean to a fan with autism, cause how should he have known? Y’all are acting like he is so bad but anytime you would have met that guy you would have treated him like any other guy at first I bet...

I'll give him the fact it's hard for him to know about the person's autism but to come up with the excuse he and everybody else were tipsy is just cheap. And I hate when these people try to apologize but can't even take off their shades. Get real.

To be honest: It doesn't make that much of a difference to me. Making fun of a fan like that is mean regardless. Making a mockery of people who adore you says a lot about your character, imho.

Spotify Removes R. Kelly and XXXTentacion From Its Playlists

As part of their new Hate Content & Hateful Conduct policy

Spotify is removing music by R. Kelly and XXXTentacion from its editorial and algorithmic playlists, Billboard and The New York Times report. The move arrives with the streaming giant’s new Hate Content & Hateful Conduct policy, which aims to promote “openness, diversity, tolerance and respect.”

In a statement to Billboard, Spotify said: “We are removing R. Kelly’s music from all Spotify owned and operated playlists and algorithmic recommendations such as Discover Weekly. His music will still be available on the service, but Spotify will not actively promote it. We don’t censor content because of an artist’s or creator’s behavior, but we want our editorial decisions—what we choose to program—to reflect our values.”

The Times reported that a Spotify representative confirmed that XXXtentacion’s music was also being removed from the playlists. His song “SAD!” is no longer on the popular RapCaviar playlist; Billboard reports that it was there as of yesterday.

Jonathan Prince, Spotify’s VP/Head of Content and Marketplace Policy, told Billboard, “When we look at promotion, we look at issues around hateful conduct, where you have an artist or another creator who has done something off-platform that is so particularly out of line with our values, egregious, in a way that it becomes something that we don't want to associate ourselves with.” He added, “So we’ve decided that in some circumstances, we may choose to not work with that artist or their content in the same way—to not program it, to not playlist it, to not do artist marketing campaigns with that artist.”

The Hate Content & Hateful Conduct policy aims to remove “content that expressly and principally promotes, advocates, or incites hatred or violence against a group or individual based on characteristics, including, race, religion, gender identity, sex, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, veteran status, or disability.” The description continues, “At the same time, however, it’s important to remember that cultural standards and sensitivities vary widely. That means there will always be content that is acceptable in some circumstances, but is offensive in others, and we will always look at the entire context.”

In a section that responds to the question “What about hateful conduct by an artist?,” the policy states: “We don’t censor content because of an artist’s or creator’s behavior, but we want our editorial decisions—what we choose to program—to reflect our values. When an artist or creator does something that is especially harmful or hateful (for example, violence against children and sexual violence), it may affect the ways we work with or support that artist or creator.”

In 2002, R. Kelly was charged with making child pornography; in 2008 he was acquitted on all charges. Kelly continues to face allegations of sexual abuse following a July 2017 investigative report that detailed an alleged “cult.” Another woman discussed Kelly’s alleged history of underage sex and abuse in an August 2017 report. In April 2018, a 20-year-old Dallas woman turned in evidence to police, claiming she was emotionally manipulated and knowingly given a sexually transmitted disease by Kelly. On May 4, eight woman (four of whom had not previously gone public) spoke out about R. Kelly, levying allegations of sexual abuse in reports from BuzzFeed News and The Washington Post.

    R. Kelly and his team have consistently denied the recent allegations. On May 4, Kelly’s management team said, “All of the women targeted by the current media onslaught are legal adults of sound mind and body, with their own free will.”

XXXTentacion has been involved in numerous legal issues throughout his career. He spent about six months in jail in 2016-17 stemming from a November 2015 incident that resulted in charges of armed home invasion robbery and aggravated battery with a firearm. He pleaded no contest and was sentenced to six years probation in March 2017.

He has also been fighting domestic violence charges since October 2016. Those charges include aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, and witness-tampering. In addition, he faces 15 charges harassing and tampering with a witness or victim. X has pleaded not guilty to the charges and has denied them in various interviews as well as on social media.

This past March, a video surfaced that appeared to show X allegedly hitting a woman in the head. In response, X’s attorneys told Pitchfork, “The actors in this video are obviously friends, and also obviously acting in jest.” Shortly after, a woman who claimed to be the one in the video released a statement: “For those who are questioning why I didn’t come forth earlier was because I was terrified for my life.” X and his team followed in April by suing the woman for defamation and fraud.

This is a slippery slope, imo, and so I am ambivalent toward this move. Playlists should reflect what is popular or be consumer driven and algorithms should be as well. They actually could've done this quietly as well. This also raises questions in my mind of what is reflected on their other playlists. Are they supportive of other artists who have had credible allegations made against them? What about other issues beyond sexual assault like homophobia, racism etc? Have they made such decisions previously to remove artists from playlists based on other factors? What is the threshold to remove someone from playlists? What are the editorial board's values?

Also, what about songs written/produced by these artists (eg. Aaliyah's records) or tracks in which they are featured (eg. Lady Gaga's DWYW)? Are they going to be banned too?

I've never been an R. Kelly fan, Aaliyah got so much better when she got away from him. But... this is opening a door and a slippery slope. If one doesn't like R. Kelly's music... DON'T LISTEN TO IT. Simple as that.

Not sure how to feel about this, I mean there are A LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT of problematic artists out there.

Edit: WAIT they're just removing the artists from their playlists, not from the actual app. Well, you still can listen to them anyway so not a big deal.

R's behavior has been well known for decades... but this opens the floodgates.

Sex Pistols' are readily available on Spotify despite the fact that Sid Vicious murdered his girlfriend. You can find anything Phil Spector produced on there and he's going to die in jail for murder as well. Gary Glitter is a convicted child rapist, his stuff is on there, etc.... Before you know it, every artist who hasn't lived a completely squeaky clean existance is going to be scrubbed

Um, it is not as simple as that. A drug-fuelled tragedy is not the same as murder. Most people in the industry look upon him with sympathy as someone manipulated by McLaren. Besides, Vicious only physically played on one Pistols studio song - Bodies. He couldn't play bass so they never let him.

This is a good thing to me. They need to also remove from attention the horrendously overpraised 6ix9ine.

In October 2015, Hernandez pled guilty to one felony count of Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance. Hernandez was charged with three counts of the offense after an incident "[o]n or about" the night of February 21, 2015 where he had sexual contact with a 13-year-old minor and later distributed videos of the incident online. Three videos are described in the criminal complaint against Hernandez. In the first video, "the child engages in oral sexual intercourse with the separately charged defendant Taquan Anderson, while the defendant, Daniel Hernandez, stands behind the child making a thrusting motion with his pelvis and smacking her on her buttocks. The child is nude in the video.” The other videos show the child sitting on the lap of Hernandez while her breasts are groped by Anderson, and later sitting naked across the laps of Anderson and Hernandez.[13]

In a November interview, Hernandez claimed to have "no sexual contact" with the girl and denied knowing she was a minor. Hernandez also claimed to be seventeen at the time of the incident, although the birth date listed in the complaint against him and in his statement to the police shows he was eighteen at the time.[14]

Under his plea deal, Hernandez must obtain his GED, refrain from posting sexually explicit or violent images of women or children to social media, and not commit another crime for two years, among other injunctions. If met, the plea deal would give Hernandez three years probation and he would not have to register as a sex offender; if not, Hernandez could face up to three years in prison. In a January 2018 court hearing, it was revealed that Hernandez had failed his GED test, but had his sentencing adjourned until April 10, 2018.[15][16] Prior to his sexual misconduct charges, Hernandez served jail time as a minor for assault and the sale of heroin
