    Gold In A Brass Age
is David Gray’s eleventh album in a career that spans over 25 years, several Brit and Grammy nominations, and three No.1 UK albums, including for the breakout multi-platinum
    White Ladder.
It is also a vital new collection of songs from an artist still revelling in his passion for song-craft, pushing himself into unfamiliar terrain, surprising himself as much as his fans along the way.

I thought the same - considering all the press placing David alongside Dido this past week (who is set to debut in the top 5 with her new album come Friday) I thought there would be a similar interest in both of their new works. Saying that, such press seems to be about the limit of his promotion .. not sure of any TV or radio performances. Maybe the record company are looking for a bit of longevity as opposed to higher 1st week impact, 😁. It's a great album with alot of potential.

Dido has had much much more promo, and high quality promo like for instance Jonathan Ross this past weekend, that's why she's at #2 in the UK mids while David Gray will barely hang in the top 20 if he's lucky

I agree. I've had it on repeat all week. A great addition to his back catalogue.

Good point - on looking further the only UK promo I've been able to find for him so far this era was an interview on Lorraine .. he did perform two songs on Jimmy Kimmel in the States but that wont effect anything here. Maybe he has something lined up in the future, would be nice to see the record have a life of its own! 😁
