I know the finale will play a big role for the overall opinion, but I have to say I very much enjoyed this season, especially the contrast to recent US seasons.

Any ideas on how the Lipsync for the crown might be designed?

I don't think they can have a lipsync for the crown, it's a top 3? I suppose it will be a typical 2/3-way lipsync

As much as I want DDC to win, but I feel like The Vivienne should win this. She is at that level of a polished queen that I don't want to see again in another season of this show. She has delivered a perfect Snatch game character, served looks that in my opinion needs no further elevation. Whereas, DDC needs another series to redeem herself. All Stars 1 coming soon on BBC *wink*

I'm guessing the finale will be done like the first few seasons (and like they do All Stars). They will do the task, all lipsync on the stage and then Ru will announce the winner (they probably filmed as usual at least two queens getting the crown as to avoid leaks of who actually won).

Yeah, I also think someone (Baga, most likely) will be eliminated at first while the Top2 lipsync for the crown.

By the way, Baga has 234k insta followers, Divina 192k and Vivienne 201k. I'm surprised Baga leads the trio to be honest.

Brooke Lynn Hytes was also that polished queen who ended up second
Also, I'm not sure if being the UK RuPaul's Drag Race ambassador in 2015 is her disadvantage for the crown.

I think so too, if they want to avoid controversies

I thought about this as well BUT Viv clearly deserves it. It reminds me of the Brooke and Yvie situation....a polished queen vs a not so polished one. Only difference is that Yvie was serving something "different."

Well, she has proven that she is more than that 2-second cameo in the live audience on RuPaul's Drag Race Season 8, Episode 4 aka the UK amabassador gig.

I wanted DDC to win but Vivienne won me over in the final episode. What a great winner she is! Polished and talented (even though she reminds me of the playground bully when I was younger lol). I really loved this season, it was a great beginning for it

The best queen won! I think Divina won tonight's episode, but the Vivienne won the season. Polished, sharp wit, strong style - she's an incredible inaugural champ. I'd say she beats the inaugural RPDR US champ comfortably, and she sure did come dressed for her coronation.

Same. Divina had a 'did I hear right' reaction that I loved. But the Vivienne has the talent to back up that confidence, and that works for me!

    Loved that reaction!
I disagree though I think Viv won the episode, Divina's was actually my least favourite verse.

I think either could have justified being the winner of the season. I wanted DDC but Viv was worthy. A truly great season.

Y'all know where my preference lies, but I'm glad for Vivienne, both queens in the top 2 would have absolutely deserved the crown.

I don't understand why editors felt the need to go shady the last episode. Divina's edit was a bit psycho. Focusing on her laugh in the podcast, the music during her speech (as opposed to melancholic slow background Viv got), lots of "looking" towards Viv while she was making a statement.

And Viv was very mild and unusually soft in her talking heads. Like the producers told her to be especially nice this episode and not the slightly bitchy "I'm the best" attitude Viv we've gotten used to.

I guess Rigga Morris was free to produce the last episode.

Viv is a good winner, but they didn't need these tricks to sell her more to the viewers.

We were completely expecting DDC to win, we were all a bit shocked when Viv was announced. DDC got such a shady edit in this episode in an effort to somehow convince us she wasn't worthy of the title. She slayed that performance of Rocket To The Moon.

For how many times DDC pointed out that she done choreography... she wasn’t all that. Yes Vivienne's was simpler but she sold it so much better and was much more enjoyable to watch

^I agree. Viv performed the best. It didn't help DDC's choreo was too reminiscent of Katya's from AS2 (and she did it MUCH BETTA!), and not just in one part, but multiple ones.

Wasn't DDC in the top more times than the viv. DDC was never in the bottom 3 so personally I feel like she performed better

I was agreeing with Viv performing the best in Rocket to the Moon performance, not overall.

Ah right I clearly didn't read it right. I still feel like DDC was better overall in the performance

    Nope!

Viv = three wins, three highs, one bottom two
DDC = three wins, two highs, one safe, one low

If you go with the 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 point scheme many RPDR fans love, they're tied with 28 points, and the tiebreaker could go either way depending on your value system. If you value more wins/high placements, Viv gets the nod; if you value never landing in the bottom two, DDC gets it.
