Ah I still LOVE the Jennifer Paige Crush - honestly, I thought it was a Mariah song when it came out!

For some reason, Careless Whisper was marketing as a Wham! single in the US - not sure why?

"Chasing Cars" is lovely. I think even my sister likes it, and it's not the kind of music she's usually into.

"Colours of the Wind" is so beautiful! Archie's "Crush" is cute. Jen's is probably even better, but I prefer the Glee Cast cover to her original.
You can search the entire universe and not find a single being more worthy of love than you.

    #34 a-ha - Crying in the Rain (1990)

Norwegian pop legends a-ha are mostly known for their 1985 debut single 'Take on Me' and its iconic music video. Personally, I prefer the singles they released between 2000 and 2010. My favourite song, however, is their 1990 cover version of the Everly Brothers' 'Crying in the Rain'.

Other a-ha songs I love: 'Summer Moved On', 'Minor Earth, Major Sky', 'Forever Not Yours', 'Lifelines', 'Celice', 'Foot of the Mountain', 'Butterfly Butterfly', 'Stay on these Roads', 'The Living Daylights'.

    #35 ABBA - Dancing Queen (1976)

Not much has to be said about this song. It's one of the best pop tunes of all time that always puts a smile on my face, recorded by the best pop group ever.

    #36 Elton John - Daniel (1973)

Elton John has recorded many fantastic songs but my favourite one is 'Daniel', a beautiful song with great lyrics. I'm very much looking forward to Elton's biopic 'Rocketman', I expect to enjoy it very much.

Dancing Queen is an undeniable ABBA classic. Daniel is great, probably in my Top 10 Elton songs - need to see the Rocketman movie!

"Daniel" is good! I think my mother actually likes the song more than I do.

    #39 Felix - Don't You Want Me (1992)

A great dance classic that was sampled by David Guetta & Snoop Dogg in 2011 ('Sweat').

"December, 1963 (Oh What a Night)" is a bop! I enjoy the Human League's "Don't You Want Me", too.

Several more interesting arrivals since I last found time to check this thread!

Crushed one-hit wonder number 2 is Jennifer Paige, who recorded one of my favourite songs of 1998.
I was very surprised that she impressed so few music buyers (number 76 in Germany, number 81 in the
UK, nowhere at all anywhere else) with what seemed to me to be a superior follow-up, "Always You":

I quite liked that - but "Save The Best For Last" was by far my favourite of her hits.

Mr. President were a German Eurodance band whose biggest hit is at number 30. 'Coco Jamboo' is insanely catchy and always puts me in a good mood!

    #29 Robert Miles - Children (1996)

Italian DJ Robert Miles created a fantastic dance classic with 'Children' in 1996. Two great songs followed ('Fable' and 'One and One').
Those huge 1996 releases are pretty much the only tracks I hear on the radio from these two acts
nowadays, although both had several very good follow-ups - I especially liked "Happy People" and
    "One And One".

'Cat's in the Cradle' is a song that I discovered through the famous remake by American rock band Ugly Kid Joe which was released in 1993.
I think the Ugly Kid Joe version gets more airplay now than any other version. The Harry Chapin track that
impressed me when I discovered it in the Irish chart, however, was the much less well known "Flowers Are
    Red":

That's my favourite from them too - although of course it gets considerably less airplay than "Take On Me"
and "The Sun Always Shines On TV".

And, out of their many huge hits, that's the one that always seems to do best from radio listeners' votes in
    "all-time" or similar countdowns.

Perhaps surprisingly, I couldn't think of what the second "Don't You Want Me" would be! As well as the
Human League original, I also bought the Mandy version, and this one from Tatjana Simic:
