The next election to the European Parliament is expected to be held between 23 and 26 May 2019 and will be the ninth parliamentary election since the first direct elections in 1979. A total of 751 members of the European Parliament (MEPs) currently represent more than 512 Million people from 28 member states.

In February 2018, the European Parliamen
t voted to decrease the number of MEPs from 751 to 705 if the United Kingdom were to withdraw from the European Union on 29 March 2019. However, the United Kingdom is now due to participate alongside other EU member states after an extension of the Article 50 process.
    Election Day:

    Thursday, 23 May

    Friday, 24 May

    Saturday, 25 May

    Sunday, 26 May

I feel like UKMIX could use a little reminder to go VOTE in the upcoming 2019 EU elections, the most important EU elections to date! Voting actually starts TODAY in the UK and Netherlands and culminates with 21 countries on Sunday!

Will you be voting? Where do you cast your vote?

Let UKMIX know, discuss results and complain!

I will vote on Sunday, but for the first time in my voting history, I have no idea who to vote for. Every list seems to be rotten with bad intentions. I feel like whatever I do, we are doomed anyway. What a time to be alive.

Voted. Pro-European independent party - can’t see me ever voting for one of the main parties again unless something drastic happens to shake them awake. You’d think Brexit would be enough

While this is amazing to see, I always fear that this is driving people away that dont want/ have the time to wait I was also pleasantly surprised to see so many young people today at the polls of my area. Cannot wait to see how this turned out

Yes still too many but this fall is astonishing and historic for CDU and SPD. AFD was also predicted to be above 12% so this is actually a much better turnout.

I voted and the party I voted for is #1 in the Netherlands. Didn't expect them to do so well.
Usually I vote for the green party, but I had hopes for the one I voted for this time instead.

I hope the other party you were voting for does care for human beings, animals and plants as well and will make the Netherlands carbon neutral in the near future...
