It is obvious that Jan gained weight and is probably insecure or not as confident with her body now and that's where a good stylist comes in. Sadly these outfits do not help at all and she looks frumpy in them.

She needs to lose weight. Not to body shame whatsoever but she doesn't look comfortable.

Can’t believe that it’s over already. Sad that it didn’t get renewed but maybe she can take it to Europe now?

With shows in Japan, Miami, Glastonbury, Montreux, and Saudi Arabia, she grossed more than that in 2019. 10 more dates left.

But what do those cities have to do with LV show which is the theme of the topic?

She's really treating her European fans badly. She should do a few dates in her big markets imo.

Nothing, but I think that she has an interesting strategy. Touring and having random concerts every year, since 2015, except in 2016 because of pregnancy. She will gross over $100 million in little more than three years, if we exclude 2016, and no sign of stopping there. We're probably getting a new tour, new Vegas residency or just a third leg of "Metamorphosis," and a new festival roundup in 2020, along with some new music hopefully.

Well she is a legacy artist now and tours are where the money is, so it's expected she continues performing first and foremost. The fact they went silent about the new music/album after mentioning it nearly a year ago says a lot where the priorities are.

I think if she stops for a year or so and then launch a new album with a new tour, she can gross far more than what she is doing. She’s been on the road too often in the US, however, she needs to tour world wide, even if just number 1s sized tour.

    CHART BEAT
Janet Jackson Earns $13 Million in Las Vegas With 'Metamorphosis'

After a brisk run at Las Vegas’ Park Theater, Janet Jackson impacts the Hot Tours tally dated Aug. 31.

Her Metamorphosis residency played its second and final leg from July 24 through Aug. 17, adding $8.9 million to its total gross, according to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore. Altogether, the 2019 residency grossed $13 million and sold 76,813 tickets.

Metamorphosis positions Ms. Jackson in the middle of a career upswing, averaging $722,000 and over 4,000 tickets per night. Her 2011 Number Ones Tour marked the quietest trek of her career, playing theaters around the U.S. after several arena tours in the 1990s and early 2000s. Since then, she has adjusted ticket prices and returned to sold out arena and amphitheaters. Jackson’s Vegas shows further improve upon the 2015 Unbreakable Tour ($626,000/night) and 2017-19 State of the World Tour ($559,000/night), up from 2011’s $450,000 average.

That pacing places the legendary singer (and dancer, songwriter, producer, and actress) among the biggest Vegas performers of this decade, ahead of Celine Dion’s $704,000 opening pace (2011), Britney Spears’ $679,000 (2013) and the Backstreet Boys’ $593,000 (2017). Metamorphosis only ran for 18 dates, making it significantly less forceful run than Dion’s 427 and Spears’ 248, but sets Jackson up well for a healthy run of upcoming fall dates in Australia (Nov. 8-17) and Hawaii (Nov. 20-21).

Jackson has achieved seven No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 and ten No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 throughout her four-decade career. She bulldozed through the 1980s and 90s, eventually named Billboard’s No. 2 artist of the 90s, and the Billboard Hot 100’s No. 7 artist of all time.

See below for the full Hot Tours recap, featuring the Backstreet Boys, The Rolling Stones, and the final dates of P!nk’s Beautiful Trauma World Tour.
