Didn't really have time to post any comment on the last set. I posted literally within seconds of the site going down for its daily 30-40 minutes.

    Some comments:
    1. Was surprised to see the Anggun get two votes - one submitted the title in English and the other in French
    2. I am realizing that I allowed some songs where the female is listed as a feature and I should have caught that, so apologies.
    3. Gloria Estefan kind of got screwed in this countdown. I would have included Turn the Beat Around if I had thought of it. Iconic video.
    4. I forgot Mouth by Merill Bainbridge ever existed. That was a huge hit, but I can't remember ever hearing it after its peak. Same with Jane Child, or as @Goldmoney wrote, Jane Chile
    5. I think Scream is low because people think of it more of an MJ song - it did come from his album, didn't it?
    6. You all slept on Black Velvet.

Thanks for the notice on those two songs, @Benny ! I have updated so those songs will be seen in a future set.

"You all slept on Black Velvet."

I'd thought of it & looked it up, but just quickly. It charted 1990. US & Canada released: 1989. UK: 1990.
Tried steering clear of anything w/discrepancies.

Re: Listing/numbering ~ I understand people who chose song/their points awarded; not understanding the #'s in hundreds preceeding that?

If only I'd known @trebor would vote for Celine Dion's Je Sais Pas. It's one of my all time favorite songs of her, but I thought no one would vote for it.

Shame I'm the only one voting for brilliant Martika songs like Love... Thy Will Be Done and Martika's Kitchen.

That's their position on the list - they rank higher than the other songs with the same number of points because the tiebreaker is number of voters, and the tiebreaker after that is highest vote.

    You should have!
    "D'Eux" is a stand-out album. (jean-Jaques Goldman did a great job)

You will not be happy with me completely forgetting to include "Désenchantée" by Mylène Farmer. Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.
Really hope she does make the Top 100, though.

Let me say some of my thought:

    - I'm glad I'm not the only one voted for Sunny Came Home . Great song but I wish it could be higher.
    - I know it is pointless to vote for Asian's song but Utada Hikaru - First Love is one (if not the biggest) Asian hit song in the 90s. I thought my fellow Asian will vote for it but alas, like always. I will be the only one
    - Im surprised I was the only one voted for Escapade , Kiss The Rain, Right Now & Adia
    - Also I have impression that When You Tell Me That You Love Me is a really famous song but I guess it didnt
    - My impression was Black Velvet was released in the 80s. I remember I read so many theories about that song. One of it about prostitute. I wondered if it is true though
    - Uninvited would be higher on my list but somehow I thought it was not a proper single...
    - I knew Trisha Yearwood - There Goes My Baby will be such an obscure choice but I really like it. More than her version of How Do I Live.
    - I never pegged Belinda Carlisle to be popular in the 90s (her peaked was in 80s). I am shocked on how many songs she had in this countdown.
    - Considered including these songs but somehow I totally forgot to sort them out . Also in addition, I decided that other than 3 artists that I stan in 90s (2 actually, the other 1 I stan in year 2000) I should only include 1 song unless I really like the 2nd song.

    Britney Spears – Sometimes
Natalie Imbruglia - Wishing I Was There
Geri Halliwell – Look At Me
Dannii Minogue - This Is It
    Aqua - Doctor Jones
Paula Cole - I Don't Want to Wait
    Gabrielle - Sunshine
Janet Jackson - Come Back To Me
    Enya - Only If
Paula Abdul - Blowing Kisses In The Wind

And I totally forgot the existence of these songs:
    Emilia - Big Big World
    Blondie - Maria
    Whigfield - Saturday Night

And my biggest sin is to forgot Steps - One For Sorrow was released in the 90s. It is my favourite Steps' song

    - And seeing Kylie lose so my songs already didn't shocked me because It also happened in the 2000 countdown. But Im surprised Mariah, Janet, Whitney and Madonna were already losing so many of their signature hits in the countdown so far

The three-song limit is really producing some interesting results!

    Spoiler!
I was ambitious, though I didn’t know exactly what I was shooting for. Now I think it’s one of the most useless questions an adult can ask a child – What do you want to be when you grow up? As if growing up is finite. As if at some point you become something and that’s the end.

Because everyone is so divided between what songs were her best during (Both) times.

Hmm lost a few more, Some of my Aussie picks, (Surprised for Merril Bainbridge - Mouth, had it shortlisted but then cut it as I was trimming down, one I thought I'd be the only voter for. I also considered Bic Runga - Sway).

Surprised at Emotions. I think I only lost two out of my top 10 so far, Including my #3 Natalie Imbruglia's Wishing I Was There, I watched the UK Queer as Folk recently and had a singalong moment when it popped up as music video in the background of a scene Haha.

There's still 151 to go though before the Top 100, How many total points were required to get in cheapthrills.

Went back through the list last night and found five duplicates. Hopefully, that's all of them because I have already started doing the write-ups for the top 100 songs. This means that the #101 song has a write-up and #151 has a graphic now

It also means you're going to see a couple duplicate numbers from today's list in tomorrow's list, but I'll post a final list when this is all done.
