The Archer debuted at #55 in Australia, a side-effect of releasing mid-week with sales of 3453. It should make the top 50 this weekend though, as it's still reasonably high on Spotify and iTunes.

I think it's safe to say she reached her commercial peak. Not saying she won't experience success anymore, just just wont reach the limits she did 2006-2017.

The full performance of her album and tour will determine if she peaked or not. People wrote her off during reputation after the Kanye and Kim incident, when she got snubbed by many award shows, and when people thought she was going to flop with her stadium tours, since she didn't have the strongest singles, etc.

@GetBack: What's striking about Taylor Swift's career in America is the streak of hit albums from 'Taylor Swift' to '1989'. The consistency of success hasn't happened there since Garth Brooks' streak of success in the 90s. It's also notable that she managed to achieve a career peak not once but twice - with 'Fearless' and then again with '1989'. Not many musicians achieve that because for many, once they have their big era, it all goes down with each new album. 'reputation.' wasn't a flop in a 'Britney Jean' way, but it felt like a non-event compared to the shiny '1989' era. As that one served as her international breakthrough, the follow-up 'reputation.' has more of a focus on the Anglophone countries (especially Australia seemed to habe been there for her that era). Regarding 'Lover': The combination of it being the follow-up of her least successful studio album so far and the lack of a successful leas single makes it likely that it will have a softer than usual start on the charts for her standard. How the album will fare in the long run will on the future singles. Not every hit single automatically sells the album, but I'm sure that if she had her personal 'Girls Like You' or 'New Rules', it would do much for the record in terms of chart success.

China and other Asian countries have more and more influence in the music industry these days. Piracy is falling down as everyone there uses QQ Music, Melon, Line Music and others. I’m shook at her numbers

well considering from 1989 to reputation there was a 50% decline in US sales from 10 million units to 5 million units and declines are normal album to album Taylor hasn't yet had one of her albums fail to reach multi platinum Carrie Underwood came out around the same time Taylor did but went from an 8 million selling debut to on her 6th studio album not reaching platinum in almost one year of release

YNTCD has re-entered iTunes US top 5 and is also rising and stable on Spotify/radio. I think it will reach top 10 soon with the album release.
