As this will be the first tour since The Girlie Show that I (probably) won't be seeing, I'm hoping for a DVD or something.

I always hope for a DVD. ^^ This time I'm not sure.
I am not trying to seduce you... Would you like me to seduce you? Is that what you're trying to tell me?

I don't know, just because less and less musicians release a concert DVD, even though something was professionally recorded.

might not be a DVD, but I can smell a Netflix or Apple Music film coming for this tour.

Madonna has leaned to heavily into post-production for her recent concert DVDs. It started with Confessions, but the post-production on that DVD is tasteful compared to the eye-melting overproduction of Rebel Heart. Each shot is held for barely a nanosecond, the screen get covered in graphics, it's all just too much. As someone who saw the Rebel Heart Tour live, I can attest that show didn't need anything to make it more visually stimulating, so even a little post-production would feel like overkill. Hopefully, she can just have the Madame X Tour shot without annoying bells and whistles added in post.

She's gonna remove the audience and CGI the stage into a big arena.

I think all her concert DVDs are fine, the editing was also totally ok for me on Confessions and Sticky & Sweet. On MDNA and Rebel Heart it was too much, but anyway I am still glad we got blessed with a concert DVD, love them anyway. But the editing wasn't great on these two.

Totally agree with you here. The MDNA tour was the real stage at which the editing on her tour DVD's started to feel like someone with ADHD had been let lose in the editing suite. One shot flashing to the next with barely any time to register it. I found it incredibly annoying to watch and as you say, it's totally unnecessary as the actual performance is visually stunning. The Rebel Heart DVD also unfortunately followed in the same vein. I miss the days of tour DVD's such as 'Who's That Girl', 'The Girlie Show' etc where you get the WHOLE concert warts and all and it's all the more involving and exciting for it.
It might sound like I'm an unapologetic bitch

Her tours DVDs from WTG to DWT are perfect. CT, S&S and MDNA are good as well but RHT has a awful edit.

I guess that the RH dvd was more conceived as a long video clip more than what we can call a “classic” concert recording

I still believe Alek Keshishian's Blond Ambition clips from Truth or Dare are the gold standard of the way a Madonna concert should be shot.

It’s not the footage that’s the problem, it’s the damn edit. What’s changed? I’ll tell you - Madonna started sitting in on the edit suite instead of letting the professionals do their job

81 shows so far. I still believe that they'll add at least 10 shows in this tour.

I think when it's all said and done, she'll do 100ish dates.

Don't forget that Candy Shop must be in a cabaret act or something like that.

So, I took a look at Bruce’s Broadway shows. He pulled 479k a night with a theatre that has capacity of 975 people. That means the average price was $491. I’m guessing Madonna will have similar average ticket price, and if her average theater capacity is 2,200 she should be able to pull a million $ per night. Or so i think.
