So Cowell would look like Jeremy Clarkson without the surgery?

That's what I'm thinking. However he is definitely known for music.... Vinnie Jones has also released albums. And Megan mckenna calls herself a singer. So it's not exactly all people new to music lol

Hmm i read about the line up earlier whilst at work and i can't help but wonder if this might be engineered to boost (1) Max & Harvey and (2) Megan McKenna - purely because i'm sure both have previous released songs that did ok on iTunes.

If they end up as the final two i will kick myself for not betting on this outcome. lol

Isn’t it slightly unfair to have trained musicians on there? Looking forward to the three hot rugby lads.

I don't think it's that bad at all.

I am looking forward to this. I've actually missed X factor on a Saturday night

How is Kevin McHale not known for his singing? He was in a boyband, had a lead role in Glee and just released his first EP a few months ago.

I never understand why people call for something to be cancelled just because they don't personally like it. It still gets over 4 million viewers. That's millions who do still enjoy it. If you don't like it. Don't watch. The whole 'it's crap cancel it' seems very juvenile to me

As for All Stars, Paula Abdul will take Nicole's place on the panel.

Over how many weeks will this be?

One half of Love Islanders are quite good.

Well, it was basically a judges house episode with a lower calibre of talent.

And essentially, because the lineup is a bit shit, it felt really flat IMO.

I was quite impressed by the amount of industry people Simon has managed to get involved in this, although I guess most of their glory days were in the past - he even managed to dig Pete Waterman up

It definitely feels the show has been created as a vehicle to push a certain few contestants towards a record deal - probably Max & Harvey.

The Islanders were surprisingly vocally really competent but it made cringe... Eyal is so cheesy. Cole & Edwards were dire

The Vixen is the new Alison Moyet I got goosebumps!

    So far so good.
I suppose if you are in a show like Glee it's difficult to be taken serious and Kevin's role in the show was a bit specialised. One might be excused to thinking he needed the wheelchair in real life! However he showed he could be taken for a real singer and not some actor singing.
The Vixen voice was very unique. It had tones of Cher in it, but she was trying to sound like Mercury too much.

Max and Harvey seemed to have increased the sales of Sucker, so overall one would get the impression that their performance hit the biggest with those who still buy records. Though since some sang songs that were already big hits, such as Sheeran's hits it's hard to tell if they went down well.

Brendan Cole & Jeremy Edwards, if they had been on the none famous one and they were not known at all, I could see Simon saying that Brendan can go through, but Jeremy wasn't good enough.

Most impressed with the Rugby players!
