thanks for this Mario I wonder if u have weekly sales for Mariah Carey, Emotions and MTV Unplugged, if u do, can u please post it?

also,Sony said a lot of times that Ones "sold" 3.6M albums in Japan.. as we knows, through Oricon was only 2.8M so do u think 3.6M it's shipments or Oricon + Imported SALES?

A record company is often in the tendency which announces an excessive number.
Furthermore, it's a fact that there are also many albums returned in the shipped album.
Even if it adds imports, I think that there are too much 3,600,000.

When i read the thread - it seems to me that all japanese people love "Greatest Hits" albums. Mariahs, Celines, Britneys albums etc. sold a lot more than regular albums...

    You are right!
    Japanese love single.
Japan is a world's largest single selling country.

CD and Cassettes single sales According to RIAJ

    81,300,000 Japan
    31,400,000 UK
    24,300,000 France
    23,500,000 Germany
    9,600,000 Australia
    6,600,000 USA
    3,500,000 Belgium
    2,700,000 Netherlands
    1,900,000 Portugal
    1,800,000 Switzerland

Therefore, "Greatest HIts" in which many singles are contained sells mostly.

Japanese albums are more expensive than international ones? It's a completely different story in Poland, it's the other way around

Hello Mario. Just want to get an ideea of how big of a hit is O-Zone in Japan. Now, I see they're number 1 in the album charts. Why wasn't a single release? In US sometimes a single is not realeased so that the album sales increase. Is this the case in Japan too? But as the single sales are so good in Japan, I don't really see the point.
Anyway. Do O-Zone have any TV apereances there. They split for a while but I guess their back together now.
Also, Arsenium(one of the 3 guys) already released a solo single in Europe. Do you think he'll have any succes in Japan?

Their single is released in Japan.
However, it did not hit compared with the album.
The reason whose album of theirs sold well in Japan is that having been effectively used by the TV program and they appeared on the television music program of Japan.
After especially they appeared on the TV program, the sales of an album went up.

The single of Arsenium is not put on the market yet in Japan. However, it will be put on the market soon.
