"I always thought she was a bloke in drag anyway" (about Viv)
"Why what's up you need some tips?" (to Jimmy)
"Thanks love" (again to Jimmy) Daniel's such a brill actor, best addition to Emmerdale!!

Six Emmerdale characters could be killed off as part of a huge storyline this summer.

Producers are hoping that an explosion at the grand opening of the King brothers' new housing development will pull in viewers.

"The explosion will be one of this year's biggest storylines. Viewers will be hooked," a source told the Sunday Mirror. "Writers were told to devise a way of getting rid of six stars who are a bit stale. But bosses will pick the victims very carefully - two are definitely out."

Another insider added, "Not all the actors know their fate. New characters are worried as they haven't had the chance to develop. It has caused a lot of tension on set. But bosses are convinced the show will be a ratings winner."

Sounds bloody great! Emmerdale always do disasters really really well!

Ooh I have some spoilers! Yellow text below...

6 (as yet unnamed) characters are to be killed off in an explosion at the King's new housing development this summer and in the same episode Cain and Sadie flee from the blast and end up having a car crash which kills Sadie and Cain does a runner for good.

Not very original when you think Cain was in a car crash scenario with Angie Reynolds a few years ago and left her for dead.

I do watch emmerdale and at times it can be enjoyable but its known as the third best soap and thats the title it deserves as i find its no where near as good as corrie or eastenders....

Eastenders did have a bad patch but is back with a bang these days and emmerdale really thought they could take over from eastenders last year when they beat them in the ratings thanfully the ratings have changed and emmerdale os well well behind in the ratings again,,,,,dont get me wrong its a good enough soap but corrie and eastenders are the uk's best soaps with eastenders been th ebest by a mile at the moment.....

Airs Monday, March 27 2006 at 18:00 GMT on ITV1

Andy finds Katie on her phone to her ex-boyfriend Kieran and afterwards she tells Andy that Kieran wants to see her. In an effort to keep up the façade that they are simply friends, Andy tells Katie to invite Kieran to Butler’s, as they’ll have the place to themselves. Katie is disappointed that he seems so unaffected by her meeting up with her ex. Kieran later arrives in a flash car, and Andy can’t help but worry when he sees the pair greet each other warmly. Once alone, Katie is taken aback when Kieran produces an engagement ring and proposes. Will she break Andy’s heart by agreeing?

Jimmy believes that buying Matthew’s shares of the business might be for the best as he wants to ensure that he doesn’t sell to one of their rivals. Despite the fact that Tom disagrees, Jimmy makes an offer. On hearing the offer, however, Sadie insists that they should refuse. Will Jimmy offer them more if they hold out?

Meanwhile, Debbie spots Cain and in an attempt to wind him up, she puts her arm around Jasmine. Jasmine shrugs her off and is left fuming, accusing her of using her simply to get a rise out of her dad. Debbie apologises again, and tells Jasmine how much she values her as a friend but will Jasmine forgive her again?

Meanwhile, when Andy doesn’t turn up to collect Daz, Jack runs him up to the farm with his belongings. How will they react when they find out that Andy and Katie are back together?

Later that day, Jasmine impresses Debbie by breaking into the cricket pavilion, declaring it their new hide out. Jasmine spots Daz hovering close by, and she goes to check he’s okay after noting that he looks tearful. Daz pours his heart out, expressing his fear that he’ll lose his brother. Are his concerns justified?

As Jasmine tries to defend Debbie she knocks off Noreen’s wig. A traumatised Noreen flees, leaving Debbie and Jasmine in fits of nervous giggles.

Meanwhile, Katie promises Jack that she won’t break Andy’s heart again. Jack is dubious but takes her word for it. Katie later spots Daz and begs him to accept her relationship with Andy for Andy’s sake but will Daz come around as easily as Jack?

Wanting to impress Debbie, Jasmine agrees to help. Together they let Andy’s ewes out of his barn. But will this prank backfire into something more serious?

Meanwhile, Alasdair’s mother, Rosemary pays Sadie a visit and attacks her for the humiliation she has brought on her family. Rosemary says that the marriage will be annulled and that Sadie won’t get a penny out of them. Later Sadie tells Matthew about Rosemary’s visit and how it’s given her an idea. Yeah Sadie is such a panto character really but she has some really good scenes. I hope this Debbie and Jasmine thing doesn't become too serious - EastEnders have shown everyone how not to do it!

aww i hope the Jasmine/Debbie story does become serious, because its much better acted, better charaters and is just done right.

This storyline is being done so well, its been gradually building up for months, its refreshing to see. It's kind of sweet, and i can sympothise with poor Jasmine - Debbies shocked when Jasmine kisses her on this wednessday's show.

However I heard there might be a Jasmine/Steph story coming up (have no idea where they might go with this, should be intresting what kind of relationship they devolp, because steph is supposed to admit she killed shelly).

Kinda boring episode tonight though, suprising it being a monday, the only good bits where Lorel (god she is so funny) and the Jasmine/Debbie scenes.

Rosmery is GREAT and she becommes a main charater yay

Im getting sick of saddie, shes just a second-rate version of Kim Tate.

    Bring back Claire King!!!

I see what ya saying, but soaps are (supposed to be) based on 'real life' and in 'real life' there are lesbians!

That statement is pretty ignorant as (aside from brookside) i beleive Emmerdale was first to have lesbians

Corronation streat doesnt have and hasnt had a lesbian storyline (i know it was retorical, but i felt like answering).

Anyway looks like the lesbian sotryline (for once) is actually going to become something (spoilers):

(Theres a fire at the farm, and Daz started it, Debbies trapped inside but lives etc.)

Airs Sunday, April 23 2006 at 19:00 BST on ITV1

Discovering that the fire was started by a bottle of vodka, Debbie decides to take the rap to protect Daz. After leaving the hospital, Debbie storms out in search of Jasmine after a row with Cain. Ashley tries to keep them apart but Jasmine runs to Debbie telling her how much she misses her. How will she react?

Ashley arrives and tells Jack that Debbie has admitted to starting the fire. Jack is confused after Daz’s previous confession. Later, Daz asks Jasmine and Debbie why they protected him and is grateful for the second chance.

Airs Monday, April 24 2006 at 19:00 BST on ITV1

Debbie and Jasmine are on a fairground ride being watched by Cain. He blows Jasmine a kiss, which unnerves her. She clings to Debbie trying to insinuate a physical intimacy. How will Cain react?

Airs Tuesday, April 25 2006 at 19:00 BST on ITV1

I love triangle beetween Jasmine, Debbie and Cain!?!

Anyway forgive me if Im wrong, but wouldnt this be soaps first homosexual teenage couple?

I used to watch Emmerdale but it seemed to go downhill in recent years IMO. Theres an actress on it that I've always meaning to mention that looks a double for Eva Longoria! I can't remember the characters name but she was in Soapstar Superstar I think.

Anyways just wanted to mention that quite pointless but meh

WOW!!! That was amazing, best soap episode of the year! The dramatic effect of silence while the house collapsed was brilliant!

I thought Sadie died! That other rumour I'd heard about her dying in a car crash with Cain could be true after all then...

Is Jimmy dead? That whack Sadie gave him would suggest so but I'm not convinced Tom will lose another son!

I'm gonna hedge my bets on Noreen (definitely a goner, the way she flew over the bannister was amazing ) and Dawn - so Terry will get TJ after all.
