Anybody can help me with one question from German LP charts?
Confirm (or not) my assumption...
I have chart-run for LP Deep Purple - Made In Europe
45-18-10-40-49-38
entry date is 15.12.1976
As you know, at this period charts were monthly and then became bi-weekly.
Last monthly charts were 15.12.1976. First bi-weekly charts were 01.01.1977.
So LP Made In Europe have one appearence in the monthly charts (15.12.1976).
And then LP stayed 5 bi-weekly charts (from 01.01.1977).
Right?
All the Best,
Aleksey
The positions are right but it's not a bi weekly chart but twice a month. In case of bi weekly you only get 48 weeks a year.
Have a tough cookie question here:
I simply cannot locate and identify the following composer: G. Verard
As shown on label of, example: "Tum-Balalaika (Tumbala-Lika)" on Philips 345 270 PF (performed by Leo Leandros, 1960)
Is this a misprint (which appears on all different released song versions) and the lyrics writer is Gisela Zimber (under one of her multiple aliases)?
The GEMA database is currently down and SUISA does not have this entry and neither do ASCAP/BMI/SESAC.
(Sorry for the hardcore question but I have started a German database and I want it to be as accurate as humanly possible)
Besten Dank!

Thank you for your answer!
I already had established the various aliases of Gisela Zimber.
I was looking for a proof that G. Verard is indeed yet another alias of Verard and ultimately of Gisela Zimber.
Discogs only cross-references and ties: Jules Verard, Gisela Zimber, J. Verard, Verard, Versard (Other catalogues do +/- the same)
New Book about German Album Charts!!
Dear Charts-Friends,
since there has not been any book about the German-Album-Charts for a long time, I would like to ask you, if there is any interest in such a new compilation.
I have used all the data from my database and created a kind of lexicon (in this example for the letter A).
I started with the the charts from September 1978, when there were the first weekly charts. Please take a look at this pdf-file and send me your comments and questions. The charts from 1962 on will be added soon.

If there is a general interest I will offer you the rest of the data within the next months (free of charge of course).
Please let me know what you think.
Greetings from Germany1
