Dancing, singing and a new set of strollers capped a star-studded baby shower for Solange Knowles, little sister of Beyonce.
"It was more than just melodies and vocal expression," Marcus R. Harris of entertainment conglomerate Music World-Sanctuary told the Houston Chronicle in Tuesday's editions. "It was about the celebration of this new life."
Knowles, 18, wed Daniel Smith, a college football player, in a ceremony in the Bahamas in February.
More than 300 family and friends attended Sunday's shower, including Jay-Z, Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child. Also attending the celebration were former Houston Rockets basketball player Cuttino Mobley, recently traded to Orlando, and University of Texas quarterback Vincent Young.
"It was a phenomenal event, quite chic and very personable," Harris said.
Knowles appeared in the movie "Johnson Family Vacation." She released her debut CD, "Solo Star," last year.
