Are back for a new series in 8 years.

I found this on the net:

For their first series since 1996, French and Saunders have drafted in some fresh blood. As well as such seasoned co-stars as Ruby Wax, playing the controller of BBC1 they're joined by bright young things Matt Lucas and David Walliams (stars of Little Britain), plus Michelle Collins, Amanda Holden and Denise Van Outen in a Shakespearean version of Footballers' Wives.

In tonight’s opener, the conceit is that they have been invited by the BBC commissioning editors to make a brand-new series, but in tandem with their producer (Liza Tarbuck) are desperately struggling to come up with any ideas. Anyway, we do in the end see the duo enact their own versions of Jodie Marsh and Jordan, who are running a helpline.

They are always funny and the Footballers Wive's thing sounds hilarious . Shame the stupid BBC are putting it on at the same time as Green Wing.

The thing about French & Saunders is it’s a very acquired 'humour'

.. Note that’s just an observation not praise or put down

Oh yeah, it is. Opps. I thought it was on at 9.30 but it's 9.00. Yay for 1 and a half hours of comedy tho.

I haven't seen the films either, I'd never seen Lord Of The Rings but their version was good so I'll prob still laugh.

I still think the britney madonna thing was brilliant!

Dawn/Britney: Stop shaking your ass all over my face
Jennifer/Madonna: Look what I can do with a pole!

I loved the madonna/ britney thing, and missy was funny too!

I'm a big fan of Fench & Saunders, so many funy sketches, the 'Misery' one comes to mind.
I love when they do artist too, Boyzone, Bjork, Martine McCutheon, Mel C.

    Should be good tonight!

LOL I was in stitches during that Halifax song thing that just popped out of nowhere. It was Dawn's face as she was singing.

    Loved this!
A lot of the specials were hit & miss, like those two old ladies.
Anyway, i'm looking forward to the rest of the series!
I was in stiches for the whole thing.
    The opener was soooo funny.
Dawn putting on her dog collar to get pass the security!
I was have expecting Jennifer to say 'Sweetie' to get through.
    Dawn seeing/hearing 'Blah, blah, blah'
Jennifer seeing the 'harlod', 'MEMO, MEMO'.
Jodie & Jordan was great too.
    Brilliant.

    Yeah I thought that too.

    That was brilliant.

The thing I like about F&S is the fact they are about good old classic comedy and their material isn’t revolved around sex gags or crude puns.

I mean that doctor thing was absolutely brilliant; I was in hysterics at it. “Come on I’ll do your weight”
There should be more comedy like this on TV.

Also the Halifax ad spoof and the Jordan and Jodi Marsh thing “put his money where your mouth is”

Nicole Kidman: I think I done most of the scenes myself, they got a stand in but it was just a miniature giraffe.

They are class. I prefer Dawn French out of the two though, she never fails to make me chuckle!

That doctor scene was soo funny!

    Jennifer: Are you pregnant
    Dawn: No
    Jennifer: What's that then?
Dawn: That's just my big fat wobbly belly.

    O what a show!

On their own I find them average but together they could put Graham Norton and lil Betty out of a job

Well I think they were better than Jasper Carrot, Only Fools and Horses, Bewitched, Harry Hill, Open All Hours and British Isles: A Natural History put together.

All those in agreement say "I"!

Dawn: I've got to go away for a week for lab research, you know the chocolate oranges. They're developing a new shape for them.

I just watched this this morning and loved that too.

"What a Gail, how did I ever survive?"

Other bits: the Cher had me in hysterics...especially the bald wig part.

Dawn: "That other 3 letter word I hate"

    Jen: "What...cum?"

    Dawn: "That's a 4 letter word."

Catherine was hilarious: "I bet you think thats a broomstick he's using to bang the floor."
