Why some people still trust geocities website ? the chart is based on points. The webmaster don't have access to real sales (I spoke to him).

Yes, geocities is clearly NOT accurate. Mediatraffic is not official but at least it is reliable, it's the better of both lists by far.

Musicweek again : it also sold 2,375 copies on the download chart last week (down to # 2).

& '...the deluxe edition sold 1,777 copies a fortnight ago, and a further 183 copies last week. But those tallies don't count towards the album's chart position or sales, as marbles and their ilk are considered gifts that distort sales, causing the format to be disqualified.'...hmm, interesting.

But, as i've said before, it seems that 21 wks ago (when they started showing the figures) MediaTraffic changed their method of calculation & since then MediaTraffic numbers actually now seem to be the same as what HitList figures were before. HitList figures now seem to be the same as what Mediatraffic numbers were before (except Stadium Arcadium, of course &, i think, the usual # 1 / top 5). So a strange & interesting twist if ever i saw one.

Hi RollingBob. Do you know if Music Week has mentioned the sales for Tool's album 10,000 Days? It came out 3 weeks ago and is at no.42 on this week's chart. Thanks in advance.

It sold 29.710 copies in his first week, estimated sales of 15.000 copies for weeks 2 & 3 which mean ~45k sold by now.

Thank you very much. This album should go at least Silver over here. Perhaps even Gold? Sales should go up when the band tours over here next month. It did HUGE numbers in the US. 564,000 in its 1st week! That is massive for a rock album these days! Look's like another multi-platinum album for them. Their 4th in a row! How many hard rock bands manage that these days?

this is only USA data..worldide they sell almost 50millions units.

in some cases like by the way the true selling is more that certification, for example BTW is 1platinum, but sel somethink like 1,9 so will be quick 2xplatinum.
S.A. sell (Worlwide 1,1 millions) 442000 first week in usa, and i think 150000 in 2° weeks, so almost 600000 copies.
