    wonderful job, please don't stop!!!!
thank you for the hard work - a real masterpiece
    Thanks, cp21!
Truth to say, I ‘ve been spending many hours to copy these out by hand. What really hearten me on to keep on posting this thread are such a replies!
And don’t forget to thank Alan Smith. I might say that I’m just a pensil in his hand.
I'm looking for "TOP POPS/MUSIC NOW" and "MERSEYBEAT / MUSIC ECHO" Charts to complete my 60's singles charts collection.

Thanks Andrej, I have Melody Maker charts from MM to the end of 1970. Then I have MM charts via Disc for 1971. From 1972 to 1976 I have nearly all of them via MM, Disc or in Handwritten form. I am looking for Melody Maker charts from 1956, 57 & 58. I could swap charts if anyone can help.

I’ve reflected much on whether I should show the weekending date or MM publication date in this thread. From January 2 to July 16,1960 Melody Maker showed on their chart pages both of them. They have dropped printing w/e date since the issue of July 23,1960. The only date has remained available since then is the publication one.
I was in some doubt about the way I should follow.
The charts I’ve already posted are completely based on survey week, ignoring the cover date.
I was confused by the fact that the Charts I’ve been posting are out of sync with the Record Retailers’ and NME charts. Then I’ve noticed that Kingofskiffle uses publication dates on his “Melody Maker Album Charts” thread. So I ‘ve decided to follow his example.
Henceforth I will go one week ahead. And you should do the same with the previous charts if you were copying them after me.
Thus, the chart which I posted first as “week ending December 30, 1961” has turned into:

50 – 45 – Marty Wilde - Ever Since You Said Goodbye (Philips)

MM did not publish a chart on 29th December. Instead of weekly chart have printed “The Year’s Top Thirty” (the thirty best- selling singles of 1962). They have been worked out on the basis of points awarded to each record for its chart placings.
I can post them here as well if you'll express a wish.
I'm looking for "TOP POPS/MUSIC NOW" and "MERSEYBEAT / MUSIC ECHO" Charts to complete my 60's singles charts collection.
