    Hi Davidalic,
Can you help me out with a particular single: Barcelona by Freddie Mercury & Montserrat Caballe.
According to the book it peaked at number 4 on October 12, 1987 already (though it only was in the UK chart a month later?) It also seems to have spent further weeks in 1988 (maybe reissued?)

Do you have the complete chart-run of that single in Spain (Afyve and/or Superventas?)

    Thanks a lot!

    Afyve charts:
It entered the chart the week of 21/27 sept 1987, 15 weeks on chart that year; my charts only show the top15 every week:
    chart run:?-?-15-4-7-6-6-5-7-5-6-?-11-10-?.
It spent 16 weeks on chart in 1988, but only in the top 15 for two weeks: the week of January 4 #14 and October 10 at #10.
    Superventas (El gran musical magazine):
    17 oct 1987: 17-10-?-13-15-13-13-?-?-13-?-?-?-16-?-?-?-?-21-?-?-16-?-20... (at least 24 weeks).

That's all the info I've got on that single.

"Superventas" was the name of the sales charts that appeared in "El Gran musical" magazine; before the official AFYVE charts (1986) those were the most important, but there were many others. "superventas" could be translated as "best sellers"; a record was "superventas" when it was a hit in the charts.

Thank you Davidalic. Until when was it compiled?. I ask you because a member of this forum was sent some peak positions by EMI marketing about Queen, and some of them were different than those you gave from afyve. For example, according to that "A kind of magic" was number one, but in your breakdown it was "only" number 2. And the same for other albums.

It was compiled from 1969 to the early 90s; I have the #1s singles and albums during the 80s and "A kind of magic" was not #1 but #2; the problem is that the book starts to use the Afyve charts ONLY from 1987, so the peaks for 1986 are still a mixture of some sources (afyve, superventas, lecturas...); "A kind of magic" may have been #1 in the afyve charts but we'll never know because officially it is #2, as it appears in the book; only if afyve decides to publish a list of its #1s for 1986 I would change the history.

Hi Davidalic, can I ask if You have Chart position about
Jose Feliciano in Spain; singles and Albums?

I know only his english album "Fireworks" was nr1 in 1970 and spanish album "Escenas de Amor" was nr 1 in 1982, and for singles, I know "Que Sera" was nr in 1971 and other songs I think was charted (Destiny 1970, DosCruces 1972, Para decir Adios1982 etc)
    Anyway, Thank You.. :-)

No, I go every week to Fnac and there's nothing new; I don't really think they're going to publish more books like this; I bought one about the best 200 albums in the spanish pop music, with explanations and sales.(only spanish albums)
