So do I. If it had been on the album it would have been one of my favorite songs of the entire album.

Yes. This should've been released instead of 'Jump'. It's so good!
I mixed 'Forbidden Love' and 'Future Lovers' up haha. Oops!
    FL should've been a single.

This brought me back to life in 2005. I was a huge Madonna fan and American Life was her first release since I was a fan and after the lukewarm reception I felted kind of dissapointed because I knew she was huge. Before Confessions I collected most of her records (a difficult thing here in Colombia) and I was more in love with her music, then Confessions came and it rocked me, I couldn't stop listening and even I asked the DJ to play Hung Up everytime I went out. Now remembering this brings such a smile on my face before leaving the office today.
Donna Summer / Janet Jackson / Tina Turner / Toni Braxton / Billie Holiday

    That's cute
I love how music can bring back memories and connections to the past. It's so powerful it even brings back a smile on your face today, 12 years later. That's wonderful.

First time I heard COADF I was disappointed. This wasn’t my Madonna, my AL Queen. Then I fell in love with it. I’ve learnt since that anything new from Madonna and I’m automatically against it because I don’t want to be disappointed. Let me process it. Let me figure out what she’s doing, what she’s saying, what it all means. That’s what I love about her.

But yes. I still get incredibly nervous when I get new Madonna because she sets the bar high. But I like that - I like how in a very weird way, I expect her to prove herself to me every time. I sort of think she would like that too.

But yes, COADF is an amazing album and Stuart did her - and us - proud. I think he also knew what we wanted to hear and what we wanted (he’d been in Madonna’s world long enough to know anyway) and she knew enough to trust him, despite being unknown as a producer.

I miss the Madonna who would climb into someone’s loft and make music one on one.

This is my favorite winter-ish album ever.

It's perfect for cold nights, i kinda can't listen it that much during summer

I always listen it the most at the end of the year.

Every time i think i'm kinda over it, it comes back and slays the crap out of me... Again.

I am not trying to seduce you... Would you like me to seduce you? Is that what you're trying to tell me?

Her last glorious album to me. The time she didn't have to worry about being current or popular and still did it effortlessly.
    You ain't gotta break down,
    YOU'RE TOO STRONG!"
