Ok, so yet another solid hold this week for the BR soundtrack, dropping just 2 places from 7 to 9 in the UK charts despite 3 new entries in the top 5. Its been in the UK top 10 now for 31 weeks of the 33 weeks its been released but only peaked at number 3. The Platinum collection drops just 1 place from 26 to 27 despite 6 new entries above it.

Remeber when the press said the BR film was not true to life.well mike batt said in an interview this week, for all the people outside the uk who do not know who he is. he was the guy who played the fat womble in the kids uk tv show and i think he wrote the song brighteyes. i ts seems he knew EJ mum and dad as well as john reid and he says that the rocketman film is full of lies about them if you can find it you will see how mad he is how they are played in the film. maybe this interview will be the kiss of death for the film in uk

All music biopics are have the truth twisted a little bit to make them more watchable, it’s just life. Who cares, they’re good films.

BR soundtrack sells 47,000 worldwide dropping just 1,000 copies. I’m still hoping we’ll get 4 million by the end of the year.

The BR soundtrack has been in the UK top 10 for 32 weeks. Does anyone know which albums of theirs has done more and how many weeks? Greatest hits I’d imagine has done more.

I'm surprised nobody has picked up on this yet. The BR soundtrack has spent more weeks in the UK top 10 than any other Queen album so far which is pretty incredible considering how successful their albums have been, which means that the BR soundtrack will now go on to be an excellent catalogue seller which I've always believed would be the case. Here is a break down of their top 10 releases.

    1. Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack album. 32 weeks.
    2. The Works. 25 weeks.
    3. Greatest hits. 23 weeks.
    4. Platinum collection 23 weeks.
    5. Greatest hits 2. 18 weeks.
    6. A kind of magic. 16 weeks.
    7. Live Magic. 16 weeks.
    8. A Night at the opera. 12 weeks.
    9. Sheer heart attack. 12 weeks.
    10. Made in heaven. 10 weeks.

I don't think i've seen any DVD/BluRay sales posted on here for Bohemian Rhapsody as they seem really hard to find. Below is the latest USA sales I can find, please update if you have later figures.

    USA DVD Sales 14/04/2019: Units = 664,716 Gross $11,901,663

    USA BluRay Sales 05/05/2019: Units = 1,621,397 Gross $31,889,739

I presume with some people in the media reporting Bohemian Rhapsody as a $1Billion Film that figure must include DVD/BluRay Sales.

In it's 15 week in the UK DVD and BluRay Charts Bohemian Rhapsody climbs to No3 in both charts and has now sold a combined total of over 1,000,000 copies in the UK Alone!
