I hope she does that ska/pop album
and puts some latin flavour on it like her first 2 albums! I'm tired of that Hiphop-diva image...

Few have ever doen the "Hip-Hop Diva" image, as you put it, so well though, she thew all your expectations of her in the air. And she won.

The ska/pop thing sounds ace, but it'll be a mixture of different styles. Jenny & Jermaine Oh, wow! C-A-N-N-O-T wait

I think Que Hiciste sounds ACE.

It puts her back to her roots. I found "Rebirth" lacked in latin joints so did "This is me then..."

"On the 6th" was my favorite all the way followed by "J.Lo"

And her voice has something enjoyable to it. I LOVE J.Lo. Can't wait for her spanish album. But I'm also very thrilled for her english record. It's high time for her to step up her game again. I missed her.
And I'm crazy, all day, all night

Exclusive: J. Lo's First Spanish Album Due In April
    January 26, 2007, 11:00 AM ET
    Leila Cobo, Miami
Jennifer Lopez catapulted her acting career with her starring role in "Selena," a biopic on the Latin Tejano star who sang in Spanish and was on the verge of an English-language crossover prior to her death. Ten years after "Selena," and following a multiplatinum recording career in English, Lopez is ready to sing en Español once again.

"Como Ama Una Mujer" ("How a Woman Loves"), Lopez's first Spanish-language album, will be released by Epic and worked in conjunction with Sony BMG Latin for the U.S. Latin marketplace and Latin America. The all-Spanish album, co-written and co-produced by Lopez's husband Marc Anthony in conjunction with Estefano and Julio Reyes, hits stores April 3 supported by groundbreaking media synergies.

At the heart of it all is a deal in the works with the Univision TV network to produce a five-part miniseries based on a treatment by Lopez, which in turn is based on the content of the album. The series will feature the album's music. Lopez will not act in the series, but she will perform a track at the end of each episode.

However, "Como Ama Una Mujer" wasn't conceived as a clever way to utilize media platforms. The notion of recording in Spanish was behind Lopez's very first demo when she finished filming "Selena" in 1997. The concept materialized three years ago, when Anthony was wrapping up production of his album "Amar Sin Mentiras" with Estefano and Reyes. Lopez went into the studio to record one song with her husband and got hooked. "Emotionally speaking, to me this album is more me than any other album," she tells Billboard.

Lopez is also working on a more urban-leaning, full-fledged English-language album that she plans to release before year's end. "I've matured as a singer," she says. "Marc gave me confidence in the studio as well. When someone believes in you so much, you don't want to let them down. And it's also the material. I think this material lent itself to my voice. And it actually made me approach my new English album in a different way. I have a different standard now."

    Here it is:

On March 27, 2007, Lopez appeared on MTV's Total Request Live and stated that the album's first single would be released to radio in June with album confirmed to be released in September 2007. She said that she's choosing between four uptempo songs for the first single. She also stated she will finally be going on tour in late 2007 with a mix of her English and Spanish music.
    Wiki write-up on project:

    Untitled English album (September 2007)

Lopez is also working on her fifth English studio album, in which she is mainly working with producer Swizz Beatz. "It's coming out incredible", he said. "We're putting together some great things, and not what everyone's expecting. Think a little Jamiroquai, a little Sade. It's real feel-good music". Other rumored producers are Timbaland, Cory Rooney, Jermaine Dupri, and newcomer Peter Wade. It has been confirmed to be released in September 2007 and that Jonathan "J.R." Rotem is working on some tracks as well.

ohhh Swizz Beats is a good choice for J.Lo. I think Upgrade U would've been a good song for her! Beyonce should've let her use it

Not all the Swizz Beatz productions are gonna be "hard" like in Stefani's Now That You Got It or in Beyonce's Check On It. Even Timbaland has heavy productions (his Bounce) and "lighter" ones (Furtado's Say It Right). I think it'll fit J.Lo's voice...

btw in a lot of interview she said that her new english album, the 7th ( btw ) is gonna be
    -dance
    -funky

so i think something like Waiting For Tonight

i can't wait for the tour...

Dance in America doesnt mean dance music, but music you can dance to. So its probably hip hop upbeat R&B, not like Waiting For Tonight.

i want something like Waiting 4 Tonight part 2

btw the producers said that these album is gonna be like a Jamiroquai album, so i think with a few electronic music
and yeah hip - hop & rnb too
    but she said:
no guests in this album, so no rapper, and she 's already workin on some remixes with rapper

I'm not a fan of her R&B remixes. It worked on I'm Gonna Be Alright because of the Luniz sample, but all the others I've heard left me cold. I much prefer her non-rap songs, especially the pop singles from On The 6 and Jlo.

i mean a single more pop like if u had my love, one more dance = waiting for tonight, one electronic = play, one latin = aint it funny
