    Year of certification in ()

    Albums:

    Platinum : (30-60k)
(What's The Story?) Morning Glory (1997)
    * I would guess this is closer to 60k than 30k.
    Gold: (15-30k)
    Be Here Now (1997)
    * I've read that this has sold 50k (platinum) in Norway, but it wasn't listed as that. It topped the chart for the 6 first weeks after release.

    Singles:
    Gold : (5-10k)
    D'You Know What I Mean (Single) (1997)
    Wonderwall (Single) (1996)

No they're not shipments. & Music Week's 1995 end of year sales anaylsis makes it quite clear these are real sales :

"...Oasis had the consolation of being the year's biggest selling albums act, selling 2.36m albums - 1.84m of Morning Glory? and 520,000 of their debut album Definitely Maybe to add to the 400,000 it sold in 1994..."

It's pretty certain that the November 2006 all-time list excluded about 400k in Music Club sales from these end of totals (to get a total of 4,314,715).

We can see that 3.6m were sold during 1995-96. As WTSMG wasn't released until October 95 that's a lot in just over a year. Does it hold the record for the most sales in a 12 month period. It must do.

    2002 - 81,000 sold (MW) - 32 (T200w)
    2003 - 80,500 sold (MW) - 32 (T200w)
    2004 - 64,000 sold (MW) - 29 (T200w) - 4.2m BPI
Figures from 95 and 96 are about shipment and not real sales.

Music Week has NEVER count club sales into their totals. They have NEVER count them in their YEC as well. Figures from 95 and 96 were all about shipment, not about hard sales.
