Thread: Girls Aloud :: Charts & Sales History

  1. #1

    by Mon January 15th, 2007, 04:27

    Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could provide the current sales totals for their Greatest Hits album and Something Kinda Oooh and I Think We're Alone Now singles.

I know there were some sales amounts posted on wikipedia, but I know that this forum is way more accurate.

    Thanks for any help!

Thanks for that, but I should've been more specific. I meant just for the UK.

    Thanks!

Any idea on what chart position their new single is at? I knew it wouldn't be #1 but everyone seemed to think it would be.

^I'm surprised it isn't #3! It went really low on iTunes, those pre-orders and CD singles must have helped sell the single.

Yeah, me too. The song was decreasing quite fast on iTunes. Anyway, just like you said - pre-orders, digital EP, cd single helped a lot

If it really was falling fast on iTunes I hope for them it won't drop dramatically on the singles chart next week either!

I'm really shocked they didn't debut @ #1. I thought people were waiting for their comback single. It didn't flop like Headlines at least

Wait Arab, The Spice Girls Greatest Hits album didn't flop, it reached #2 and sold over 400,000! And plus, there was quite a big gap between when they announced they were getting back together and the release of the album.

Lol. SG's GH debuted at #2 with 77k... And it has sold 420k so far.
That cannot be, in any case, considered a flop.
Headlines flopped, the GH don't. (Even more taking into account it was released 7 years after their last album...)

I won't call this a flop either, but it's clear both single and album are underperforming...

GH released only 2 studio albums since their first GH album. That one is over 1 million copies sold.

This one was never gonna be big :-?

Ouch. Poor Cheryl. First no one's there for her solo career anymore (aside from Call My Name, I guess), now the whole group isn't doing too well.

They really could've come with a bigger bang, I only saw 1 interview by them and 2 performances of the lead single.
I mean where are the usual Girls Aloud TV specials, countless interviews, magazine covers? They really don't seem to care anymore.
    I don't think you know...
