    Janet Jackson - Discipline

    http://www.thatgrapejuice.net/2007/06/j ... album.html

Yes! I really liked 20 Y.O and love a great comeback..so I'm rooting for Janet to pull through with this one. I'm guessing the Def Jam signing is all but confirmed?

Great she really messed the single choices up with the last album. So Excited should have defo been lead single. Hopefully she gets it right this time.

''20 Years Old'' is a top record. The best R&B album of 2006.

Agreed. Tracks like "Get It Out Me" and "Daybreak" really were outstanding, and far better than anyother R&B singer could record.
That's why I highly anticipate this new record.

                Hey guys,

20 YO was a great effort! With You, Daybreak, Take Care, Get It Out Me, Do It To Me, Show Me - some real classics on there! I cannot see why this flopped. I still get the feeling it was J.D's influences that made this appear flop worthy, but thats just me.. Cannot wait for this new album tho, anything from Janet is hot so im sure ill like this...

wow shes really churning the albums out! Wonder what this one will be like then! I doubt it'll get released this year though, I bet its Christmas 08 before it sees the light of day.

                  Cant wait though! Janet rocks!

I'm thinking (and am hearing) early 08. Considering she's booked a solid 3months in the studio, I see her coming around that time. More than a year would have passed since 20 Y.O and 'a year' seems to be the benchmark for an ok gap between albums.

Personally I loved 20 YO, moreso than All For You and Damita Jo. Hopefully this will come out early next year at the latest, and with a great single. I think Call On Me was partly the reason why 20 YO flopped, it could have been a different story had she released So Excited first IMO!

I know, really! It's a shame people were so quick to put it down. She released the two worst possible singles from it IMO, the rest of the album contained hidden gems. I hated So Excited and Call On Me was so boring...

I love Janet, but agree the DK album is somethig what janet should have released, the right mixture of r n b, pop and nice ballads. Im excited for this next record though!

Now that she's on a new label, Janet can start afresh and hopefully get more attention. I liked 20 YO, but unfortunately a lot of the press gave it mixed reviews

When Janet said she wanted an 80's sounding album i.e. 20 YO I got so excited, she didn't really deliver for me. IMO Rihanna's album is the album I wished Janet had of made or even Amerie's. As they have that 80's streak whilst being contemporary. I really hope Janet gets her sound back and stops making 'f*cking' the basis of all her songs, she used to be diverse.
