After Amy Winehouse, James Blunt, Corinne Bailey-Rae, Joss Stone, Lily Allen, MIKA and Kate Nash, i think Amy MacDonald will be the next British artist to crack America.

Amy Winehouse - Rehab was big, You Know I'm No Good did okay.
James Blunt - One hit wonder with "You're Beautiful"
Corinne Bailey-Rae - "Put your Records On" did well, "Like a Star" did okay
Joss Stone - she started out in the US
Lily allen - "Smile" did okay
    MIKA - flop!
    Kate Nash - flop!
    Amy MacDonald - who?

Amy Winehouse - Rehab #9, You Know I'm No Good #78, Tears Dry On Their Own #Failed to Chart
    James Blunt - You're Beautiful #1, High #100, Goodbye My Lover #66, 1973 #73 (ironic)
Corinne Bailey Rae - Put Your Records On #64, Like a Star #56
Joss Stone - She started out in the US. But, she is from the UK.... Fell In Love With the Boy #failed to chart, Super Duper Love #failed to chart, You Had Me #failed to chart, Right to be Wrong #failed to chart, Spoiled #failed to chart, Don't Cha Wanna Ride #failed to chart, Tell Me 'Bout It #83, Tell Me What We're gonna Do Now #failed to chart, L-O-V-E #failed to chart, Baby Baby Baby #TBA
Lily Allen - Smile #49, LDN #failed to chart, Alfie #failed to chart, Littlest Things #failed to chart
MIKA - Grace Kelly #57, Love Today #92, Big Girl (You Are Beautiful) #failed to chart, Big Girl (You Are Beautiful) (Ugly Betty Mix) #failed to chart
    Kate Nash - Foundations #116
Natasha Bedingfield - These Words #17, Unwritten #5, Single #57, The One That Got Away #failed to chart, Love Like This #17, Pocketful of Sunshine #TBR
Daniel Bedingfield - Gotta Get Thru This #10, If You're not the One #15

Above shows that Natasha Bedingfield is the most sucessful British singer. Amy Winehouse would be second because of her multiple rehab in and outs, and "Rehab" and "You Know i'm No Good" recieved heave airplay.

Now I do think Leona has a hit on her hands with "Bleeding Love". She might have the next "You're Beautiful", "Rehab", or "Unwirtten".
I ahve no idea about Amy MacDonald.

I believe Tcarton is talking solely about the Hot 100/singles, not albums.

On Jan 12, 2008, Juno soundtrack was #61 on Comprehensive Albums chart - but not on BB200 at the same position despite 25K in sales. Why not?

James Blunt is a one-hit wonder in the USA really :-?

The same can't be said about Natasha Bedingfield.

    ???

James Blunt scanned 3m copies already in the US, despite only 1 single getting airplay support. I doubt Natasha Bedingfield will ever scan 3m copies in the US...
BTW, his second album started with 92k in its first week in the US, almost twice as much as the new album of Natasha Bedingfield.

And i'm not talking only about albums, but singles too

It was released 4 months ago, it is not like the market has drop 50% since then

And a one-hit wonder does not sell albums, so if Blunt sells albums he just can't be a one-hit wonder.

I know...but the market is always down in January every year... :-?

    As far as being a one-hit wonder...you can't argue here...only You're Beautiful was a hit...so he IS a one-hit wonder, right :-?

it's not like it was released just before Christmas, All The Lost Souls was released in september...

so Pink Floyd are one-hit wonders ? They had only one hit in the US (Another Brick In The Wall part 2).

Singles are less important than albums. Like, Michael Jackson had five #1 singles in 87-88, but it doesn't mean that his album was more successful than Appetite For Destruction.

Money in 1973 was a hit for Pink Floyd too
