It's gonna be huge! Woolworths taking advance orders already! Title track still climbing the chart and Mercy getting TV and radio hammerage!

i'm living in the future, so the presence is my past. my presence is a present, kiss my ass!

Great album. Better than Adele's overall (which I love). Need to play it a lot more![]()
I love this album. Every song is great.
Can't wait to get this![]()
A poor excuse is better than none at all
Have you heard 'Distant Dreamer', from her
Album? There is a clip of the Song on YouTube.
It sounds like a 1960's Phil Spector Record
- and is a big ballad, that builds & builds.
It lasts for over 5 Minutes. It is 'Pure Pop',
as regards a Genre - she is very, very vesatile.
I think that 'Distant Dreamer' can be a huge
Hit Single too.

I am loving Duffy right now she is great. Can't wait to get this album. She deserves to be huge.
'... Music Make you Lose Control, Banging On Your Speakerphone Track Repeat Go On & On'
I think her music is over-rated she has a ok voice nothing amazing and her songs are mediocre
Not A Very Good Album :(
Only Really Like Mercy And Distant Dreamer.
amazing album..love EVERY track
<3 Delayed Devotion & Serious
and my heart just melts
Ice Cream Truck
"Stepping Stone" <3
This is a great debut album, the songs are very good.
The closing track "Distant Dreamer" is fantastic.![]()
I absolutely love this one, "Warwick Avenue", and "Rockferry" especially, but most of the songs are good.
Mariah Carey - Caution
NOT on her Album - but very beautiful.
Duffy won the Welsh version of the X Factor,
& recorded some Songs in Welsh. One is called
'Hedfan Angel', & it sounds like ABBA in parts
of the Music, (the Flutes), & a Eurovision
Ballad, over all.

I think it is lovely.....

Absolutely love this album. Rockferry, Mercy, Stepping Stone, Warwick Avenue, Syrup & Honey and Hanging on Too Long are all really great songs. Brilliant album and an incredible voice.
I'd say this is definitley a soul album, she's got that Dusty Springfield/sixties soul vibe going on!
AND I have to say - this is probably the best album I've heard in a while... it's just awesome! Although I really like Adele, this album is DEFINITELY better.
Favourites have to be:
Warwick Avenue
Hanging On Too Long (My favourite)
Mercy
Delayed Devotion
Distant Dreamer
That was really hard considering the album is only 10 tracks, I didn't want to list the whole thing!![]()
My single choices:
1. Rockferry
2. Mercy
3. Warwick Avenue
4. Hanging On Too Long
5. Delayed Devotion
"This time I'm gonna get it right. I'm gonna paint my face like the Guggenheim!"
No topic should be without a cover + tracklist

#1 in the midweeks![]()
i wanna see you on your knees, wanna see you begging
On Sunday, Duffy will become only the 10th
Female Solo Act to Top BOTH UK Charts in the
same Week - the Singles & Albums Charts.
And only the 2nd BRITISH Solo Female to ever
manage it - Leona Lewis was the first.
This is in almost 52 Years of the UK Album Chart.
(It began on July 28th 1956).
Only 10 Solo Females have managed to Top both
UK Charts in the same Week:,
Barbra Streisand (1980), Madonna (1986, 1989,
& 2005), Whitney Houston (1987), Mariah Carey (1994),
Celine Dion (1995), Kylie Minogue (2001),
Beyonce Knowles (2003), Rihanna (2007), Leona
Lewis (2007), & Duffy (2008).
Madonna is the only one to have done it more than
once - 3 times, & Celine Dion is the only one to
manage it for as long as 5 Weeks in a row....

Fantastic album, love it more than Adele's already!![]()
For me, it's a big whiff of Gabrielle, a sprinkle of Dusty Springfield and a hint of Amy Winehouse and Adele.
Apart from "Rockferry" and "Mercy" I love "Distant Dreamer" (what a great closing track), "Delayed Devotion" (god I love the Motown feel and the strings!), "Stepping Stone" and "Warwick Avenue"... but there is not one bad track!
