You know me here now looking at them and reminiscing. The days of going up town on a Saturday and the joy at looking at the top40 hit singles on display in virgin, hmv or woolworths you picking them up and looking at the different mixes and tracks. Then buying them coming back home playing them all and added them into to your collection. That's was such a great time and buzz unlike anything else. Sitting at a PC logging to a site and downloading them virtually onto a piece of kit. That's cold and just wrong. It's not sexy and as thrilling as what I just said. Aaaah great days.

I can remember going into WH Smith seeing this Spaceman CD on the shelf as the current Number 1. Picking up this copy from the back paying for it and taking it home as clearly as if it was yesyerday. :( Why can't things stay like they are forever
Yeah I know what you mean actually, a lot of the romance of buying records has now died.
I remember going into music stores and a single I really liked had virtually sold out, that pleased me very much that someone else liked it!!!!
    RIP The Queen Of Disco

1st album: INXS - Kick (Still a great album IMO)
1st single: Poison - Nothin' But A Good Time (a bit cheesy now IMO)
Mind you I am going back 20 years ago to 1988 when I was only 11.

    Ok, let me explain myself..

    1. First Vynil: Selena (don't even know the name of it)
    2. First CD that was given to me: Fey - Media Naranja
    3. First album that I bought:

Such an amazing album, one of her best albums ever, her breakthrough album, it was so successful that prepared her for her next album which was even bigger!!!

Bumping this...going over my CD collection, and I'm sure most people will be surprised to find out what my first CD was. Nope, it wasn't J-pop, it wasn't even Mariah. It was actually...

Twista's breakthrough album Kamikaze! I was 13 or 14 at the time I think. I don't regret buying it...Overnight Celebrity and Slow Jamz are classics for me.

    lol, that's awesome!

As for me, I always found singles to be a massive rip off ($5 or $6 each here), so I avoided buying many at all, I was of the digital generation, but the first single I ever bought was...

On the other hand, I am very glad to say that the first album I bought is also one of my all-time favs...

It's amazing that I didn't buy an album until 2005, may collection had grown rapidly since
