Wow - yes, they dropped Sonny J, Flo Rida and the Zutons on the week of release, and Black Kids have been dropped PRE-release, no?

That is what irritates me most about Radio 1, of late they playlisted for weeks that Kooks song which only made the top 30

I very much doubt I'll be able to find these as I'm in another department altogether but I may do some hunting if I can!

They completely ignore songs like I Decided
Perhaps 'I Decided' didn't make the playlist because it's crap.

And there track record with previous Freemasons productions)
They're also ignoring We Break The Dawn! Also Feedback and Outta My Head were completely ignored too!
I don't know who you're talking about with any of these titles apart from Janet. R1 have to cater for their target audience... ie chart music, new / fresh / groundbreaking music. And much as I love Janet Jackson myself, it's no surprise that a song by an ageing artist that didn't even make the top 40 wasn't considered to be very Radio 1.

No Michelle Williams Again But A Chris Brown Re-Release Which Is Doing Nothing On Downloads Is A-List Because His Last 2 Were Hits
Ask the average 15-24 year-old who Michelle Williams is and they will look at you blankly. Then ask them if they know who Chris Brown is Again, it has to be stuff that is suitable, by artists that the target audience is either familiar with or likely to be interested in.

Cheers! If you find anything PM please Especially year 2000 and late 90s.

By the way, "We Break The Dawn" is by Michelle Williams and "Outta My Head" is by Ashlee Simpson (who was a regular feature on their playlist before).

Not many additions, a little suprised Christina didn't get playlisted - although its not due for release till November 3rd, so probably a good thing... as long as they don't overlook it :p

10 new additions is a lot for Radio 1 standards.
Christina is already getting played on Radio 1, so she'll definitely make the playlist in the next few weeks, same with Girls Aloud.

Gutted Glasvegas are out, I still love hearing that.

They're are moving away from the more indie releases, there's hardly any compared to how much there usually is.

It is over-saturated but it works, there just needs to be different because people are obviously bored of the whole We Are Scientists/Fratellis/Pigeon Detectives formula, hence why we've got less of it and more different sorts of bands like MGMT on the playlist.

Oh but Radio 1 arent fed up of those artists you've mentioned, no doubt when their new singles come out, they'll get A-listed just like their previous ones.

Hardly! We Are Scientists didn't even get playlisted with Impatience, which was released last week. Fratellis and Pigeon Detectives bombed, and although Everybody Wants Me was A-listed, I don't think Look Out Sunshine made it off the C List.

I may be wrong though, I was on holiday for two weeks when these two songs came out.
