    Oh please.

People should be allowed to discuss the movie in the movie thread.

If you haven't seen it, or don't want to read spoilers stay out of the thread, and stick to professionally written reviews to tie you over until you see it.

i definitely think so, we simply want to discuss the storyline, it's like you don't want to head 1st single before having a physical copy of entire new album. Again i apologize but it's nonsense not to discuss the parts of movies

Exactly. It's unfortunate people may stumble across some spoilers before they say a movie, but if people don't want that to happen, they should stick well clear of the thread.

It would be like barring people from discussing parts of the Gaga Telephone music video when that first leaked, until everybody had seen it!

Very tough movie to watch but lived up to my expectations. Mo'Nique was so good with her portrayal and I agree, the oscar was very well deserved.

    ‘Precious’ Lands at No. 1

Three high-profile theatricals made it to home video March 9, and two of them wound up as the top DVD and Blu-ray Disc sellers the week ended March 14.

Lionsgate’s Precious, the double-Oscar winner about an overweight, illiterate Harlem teen who turns her life around, debuted at No. 1 on the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment’s The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day, meanwhile, debuted at No. 1 on the Nielsen VideoScan Blu-ray Disc chart — and bowed at No. 2 on the overall chart, selling just 18% fewer units than Precious.

That’s a remarkable showing, given that the film grossed only $10.3 million in theaters. But fueled by an ardent fan base, the sequel far outpaced its expected week-one sales — performing like a film with a theatrical gross of between $50 million and $80 million.

On Home Media Magazine’s rental chart, neither title could nudge Sony Pictures’ 2012 from the top spot. The blockbuster disaster movie easily held on to the No. 1 position, with rental demand down just 22% from the previous week.

Precious debuted at No. 3 on the rental chart, behind the Paramount drama Up in the Air, while Boondock bowed at No. 8.

Also new in stores was Walt Disney Studios’ Old Dogs, which debuted at No. 3 on the sales chart and No. 10 on the rental chart.

Gee, this was a really horrible movie to watch. It manipulates the viewer's emotions and piles up one tragedy after another, that halfway through I was really unsurprised by all the sh*t coming her way. The barrage of mishaps made me numb by the end. :-? It was like Lars von Trier's Dancer In The Dark except less artistic and also lacking in novelty value.

That being said, Mo'Nique was great!

That was undeniable, and she deserved an Oscar too (or at least a nomination!).

This would have been an even better movie is Precious the character wasn't made too tragic the girl legit was on the borderline of being a member of the LGBTQI+ with all the trauma they put towards her character.

I think they should have removed a couple big things from her and she would have been relatable and not more of a joke. It got too much at the end with the addtions of issues and traumas
