Oh my, some one else actually loves this band, too.

Although I like primarily their 2000s albums, their debut is excellent as well. "A Thousand Trees" was one of their earlier triumphs, but they really hit their stride with "Maybe Tomorrow" and eventually "Dakota". What an ASTONISHING set of songs.

    ....and me

Loved "Performance and Cocktails" - one of the first albums to shape my musical taste. "Word Gets Around" is also awesome.

I think their stuff became more inconsistent but I liked some of the stuff during the next 2 albums. "Dakota" was a fine return to form with a great album (LSVO?).

"Pick A Part That's New" is my favourite song, but loved "Madame Helga" and "Mr Writer"... actually there are too many to mention.

great band alright, although I went off them a little - i.e. listening to their Greatest Hits proved to be quite a little too much. still, when they rule, they RULE
"Pull The Pin" sucked big time though
    for some reason... I'm here

I haven't even bothered to listen to Pull the Pin, guess I'm not missing out on much then?

Their best albums are You Gotta Go There to Come Back and Language.Sex.Violence.Other for me, particularly the later...the debut is up there as well. Just Enough Education to Perform is my least favorite.

I actually had the "Performance and Cocktails" album back in the day. I have no idea where it is anymore though. :(

"Just Looking" is probably my favourite song of theirs, but I also love "Pick A Part That's New" as well.

I watched their accoustic performance of Dakota and their version of Nothing Compares 2 U. Both magical. Love these guys!

Vegas two times on Just enough education to perform, has to be one of the best intros, ever. Love it.

And yeah, Dakota. Not much more that I can say about that song apart from BRILLIANT!

Their performance and cocktails show at cardif castle was amazing, those were the good old days for sure

These are a fabulously successful band. I posted some sales figures for these guys at [url=http://www.vanityedge.com/showthread.php?t=1333]my site]. They're probably a bit out of date now, but the Phonics have generally sold well with albums but not so well with singles. For e.g. their only #1 single Dakota sold rather poorly for a #1 single

A facebook group has been set up to try and get "Local Boy In The Photograph" to number 1 as a tribute to Stuart.

I think we should all support this.

    I joined the group ^^

Listening to Decade in the Sun you remember how many good songs they have.

I think Just Enough Education to Perform is my favourite album, followed by Performance and Cocktails.

Did the last album flop? I haven't really heard any singles from it or seen promo.

    My fav songs:

    Pick a Part that's New
    A Thousand Trees
    Bartender and the Thief
    I Wouldn't Believe Your Radio
    Just Looking
    She Takes Her Clothes Off
    Madame Helga
Life is beautiful around the world
