"...Baby One More Time" is the debut album by pop-singer Britney Spears. It was released by Jive Records, and was released on January 1999. The lead single is the title track, which proved to be a huge hit around the globe, topping many charts. and because of that, the album debuted at the top 10 on many charts across the world, follow-up singles are Sometimes, which may not reflect the huge success of the lead single, but however, made the album's positions stable, and it did top the charts in New Zealand, the next single is You Drive Me Crazy, which was more huge than the previous one. Born To Make You Happy and From The Bottom of My Broken Heart were hits on their own and helped the album gain blockbuster sales. The album stayed at the top ten of the Billboard 200 for 50 weeks and sold 14 million in the US alone and 25 million worldwide. It is the best selling debut album of a teenager in the US and worlwide.

The only great songs on this record are the Cheiron produced ones, if they weren't chosen in the record, I wouldn't have become a fan for her.

You Drive Me Crazy the album version is awful and surprisngly was produced by 2 members from Cheiron, but they did a great job in the video mix.

A classic album throughout. One of a very few I had to buy twice because the first copy was scratched.

god, just look how innocent she looks.

who would guess she could act like a slut soon after.

on music, well manufactured pop album, nothing that was before and nothing than can be copied.

Crap album really... I agree with NoAngels, the Cheiron produced tracks are the best.
It kind of just lacks substance and any real heart but it was her debut and back then she was as squeaky clean as The Queen's mantlepiece.

Saying that, it does have the best song of the 90's on it though! Oh, and I much prefer the British cover.

    Less sickly sweet.

It's my least favorite album by Britney, but it's still an okay bubble gum pop album for what it is.

It was released during the peak of bubblegum pop music, so we can't really complain about the content that much, it was what was in at the time.

That being said, I'm only familiar with the singles and BOMT is obviously a pop classic.

Terrible album actually. I never even got it back in the day. The follow up - whilst still pure pop/ bubblgum - had a lot more going for it.

What I dont get is why the hell they shoved a montage of Backstreet Boy songs on the end of the album - I've never heard of anything so strange in all my life: a label promoting another new artist on someone elses album :

Oh I dunno, Toxic and Gimme More are pretty much up there too. She has some good songs that'll stick with her though - Oops and Slave for example, but like BOMT, Toxic and Gimme More are the ones she'll end up remembered for - Toxic sounds as good now as it did back in 2003 when the album came out!

It's quite a rubbish album to be honest. The first half is bearable though.

I hate the album version of "Crazy", but I do love "Sometimes" and "Born To Make You Happy". Both are still some of my favourite Britney songs.

I Will Be There still gets me every time. Should've been the final single in the US instead of "From the Bottom..."

^ I think she released from The Bottom of My Broken Heart because it was the first song recorded for the album. It's good. but I think if she released I Will Be There, the album might stay at the top for pretty more weeks.

and oh, to tell you all, one of my guilty pleasures is E-Mail My Heart .

As has been said by Plym and NoAngels, only cheiron tracks were good and also From the bottom of my broken heart, My favorite is gotta be Born to make you happy one of britney best songs in her entire carrer.

It's definitely her worst album. The singles and a couple of album tracks are brilliant, but the rest is pretty crap really.

Thinking About You and The Beat Goes On are probably my least favourite Britney songs ever (along with Mmm Papi.)

I still play "Born To Make You Happy" - to death, it's one of my favourite songs ever. The singles from this album were much better than those from Ooops!... I Did It Again.
