    • Well, this is certainly an unexpected development! 3 - OUT - *1* Has Gaga been desperately tweeting you to support the single, knowing how much clout your personal chart holds?
    • I was pleasantly surprised by the "Side To Side" video. I don't mean that as shade toward Ari's videography specifically - I'm generally indifferent toward most videos - but this one definitely helps sell the song's sexxxiness. Simple enough (doesn't appear to be super high-budget/elaborate), but certainly effective.
    • Pardon my Célignorance, but is that another brand-new track, to go with "Recovering"? Or is it a random hidden gem album track from her catalog that you've just recently discovered?
    • "Dress You Up" = <3. 80's Madonna >>>

    Yet another illustrious chart, Akini!

The exam itself was as ridiculous as I expected; I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping for the best at this point. The results will be released next week, which is a huge relief considering I had to wait 33 days once before to find out I missed the pass mark by one point.

While I still stand by my opinion that "Perfect Illusion" is a mess, it seems to be a mess that I can get into. I had it on repeat yesterday for about 15 minutes and didn't want to switch to another song. I like the message, and I can appreciate the passion behind the high-intensity volume of her vocals.

For some reason, "Side to Side" didn't click with me when the album was released, but now, after the VMA performance, I'm really starting to enjoy it. It's a bop!

It's a random discovery inspired by "Recovering". "Then You Look at Me" is about 17 years old, but it's more the kind of Céline song I like than "Recovering". Like Wayne himself said, "Recovery" lacks Céline's signature "bombast".

No, it definitely didn't. Well, i still really like it, and i already played it around 100 times since its release, but it's easily her weakest lead single so far, and probably second weakest single overall when it comes to her pop stuff ("You & I" is the weakest for me, unfortunately never did much for me). But as i said, it's still good, and it's very catchy & addictive somehow. The chorus is just a bit too loud & repetitive.

Really like these on the latest chart. Glad to see that GaGa was able to peak at #1 on your charts. That probably means "Perfect Illusion" grew on you?
Also great entry for Sia's newest smash and glad to see "Side To Side" & "Love On The Brain" being successful.

Yeah, I agree with your assessment of it. It's messy, but intriguing as well. I appreciate her passion on the song.

That is some MASSIVE BS...both the amount of waiting + treating you like you're completely unqualified because you fell ONE. POINT. SHORT. Can't they round up? Do they even KNOW who they're dealing with here?!? #unacceptable

    • Although "Desperado" still isn't one of my ANTI faves, I'm definitely pleased to read that the album's really grown on you lately! "Close To You" in particular seems like one of the hidden gems/un-sung heroes of the record (even among fans), but it's such a lovely closer, so I'm glad you're enjoying it now! Same goes for "Same 'Ol Mistakes" (though I've seen a bit more praise for that one.)
    • "Perfect Illusion" comin' for that Bipolar Chart Run Award 3 - OUT - *1* - 20 - 14 - ?
    • What are your thoughts on Kanye's conributions to one of your absolute favorite songs of the 2010's?

Yet another chart that's anything but desperate, Akini!

On one hand, I was pleasantly surprised my score was even that high to begin with, but if you're going to take me that close to the threshold, can't you just give a brother a bonus point for the 251-hour effort? #justice4hardwork

"Perfect Illusion" is earning a chart run deserving of its messy nature.

I think Kanye's contribution is okay. I'd listened to it Wednesday after a long period without hearing it, and I think the song is epic enough with RiRi alone.

Ah, I actually didn't listen to "Cry" today, but it'll probably re-enter sometime this week since it's one of my favourite songs of the past month or so.

    12.(RE) Beyoncé - Daddy Lessons
20.(20) Sia - The Greatest (feat. Kendrick Lamar)
    • Not gonna lie, I totally thought your No. 1 must be something off Céline's new album In my defense, I've never actually seen the French part written out before...and I definitely don't speak the language...so...I swear I'm not just a total flop fan!
    • "In Common" really should've been at least as big as "Girl On Fire" (if not bigger, tbh.)
    • Gaga still rockin' that yo-yo chart run!

Yet another chart that I need in my life, Akini!

Honestly, I probably wouldn't have recognized it written out either. The French bit is my favourite part of the song, though, and after all these years, among all the incredible gems you've introduced me to, "Your Disco Needs You" is still ranked #1.

"In Common" was met with a criminally poor reception. The 2016 charts have let me down; thankfully, the music hasn't.

    • Speaking of charts letting you down, your chart is definitely doing the opposite for me lately! One of my all-time-favorite tunes from one of my all-time-favorite females, immediately followed by one of my all-time-favorite tunes from one of my favorite-females-who-emerged-on-the-scene-in-the-2010's. <3
    • I really need to check out "Mood Ring" ASAP, since fans have been sh*tting themselves senseless over it in the Glory thread...

    Yet another radiant chart, Akini!

"Mood Ring" is solid, but definitely not among the Top 5 songs on the album.

It's really one of the best albums of the year. She's made some great single choices too.

    Hi Akini

01.(RE) Lady Gaga - Perfect Illusion (Best Comeback)

Lady Gaga back again ready to get that potential most points for a #1 so far year in the UK Mix parade? It's chart run here is definitely a perfect illusion.

02.(02) Sia - The Greatest (feat. Kendrick Lamar)

On other news, amazing! Still can't get enough of The greatest so delighted to see Sia doing well.

    Best of the rest

Hmmm...after one listen, I might have to disagree with you there. I'm pretty impressed right off the bat, but we'll see how it holds up.

    • Even if I never fully appreciate "Perfect Illusion", I can definitely appreciate its hilariously spastic chart run here.
    • "Still Into You" = <3. A former No. 1 on my chart, and easily my favorite Paramore song (granted, not that I know that many, but still...)

    Yet another impeccable chart, Akini!
