Brittany was always good for a quality one-liner.

Agreed, because the stupidity came across as quite fake most of the time... but in small doses you could accept the joke of it all.

Wrong group won (they only won cos of Amber), but that was fun. I still can’t find Artie hot, no matter how fit he’s become.

I love(d) Glee. It took a while to find it's stride initially imo, but once it had it kept the momentum going for at least 2 more seasons. The less said about the rest the better, but one thing that was undeniable was how phenomenally talented that cast was. Sadly a few things have happened that taint the show slightly (both during and after the run ended) but it did what we all knew music could - bring people together.

I remember being obsessed with this show. The first 3 seasons were the best.

I could have lived without the Single Ladies vs Football episode. Seriously, even at its strongest the show could make me cringe.

I think the best episodes were the Madonna one in season one (when the show really did find its stride and run with it) and when the won regionals at the end of season one - I always loved the fact when Rachel sang ‘I’ll march my band out’ they all walked into the auditorium

I finished a rewatch of all 6 seasons a couple of months ago. There were glimpses of greatness in all the seasons but the first one was fantastic. The novelty wore off pretty quickly with the public though. The issue is that the fans would never be happy with anything: only Will, Rachel, Finn and sprinklings of Mercedes and Artie sung much in the first season and it became spread out later on.

Some of my opinions of the show:
    - Rachel is annoying most of the times, as is Lea Michele (despite her talent).
    - Kurt and Blaine ended up being the worst couple.
    - Will was the best looking and creepiest teacher ever.
    - The writing of characters was so inconsistent that I felt very few of them truly evolved. The ones that did were Puck, Jake, Kitty, Emma, Tina.
    - S4 newbies were much better than they’re given credit for.
    - the show should’ve really ended after S3 with all the kids graduating.
    - I can’t rewatch the second half of S5 though, utter dirge having he show entirely set in New York with Rachel being unlikable.
    - S6 was fantastic but had too much focus on Kurt/Blaine and Sue.
    - for all its faults, the show produced fantastic music and talent. I still listen to a lot of the songs today.

I wasn’t here for the Single Ladies PSA either but it’s iconic within the show.
    Best episodes:
    - Pilot (fantastic pilot)
    - The Rhodes Not Taken (Chenoweth’s first episode)
    - Wheels (Defying Gravity was iconic)
    - Sectionals (the bit @menime123 mentioned gives me chills)
    - Power of Madonna
    - Regionals (Bohemian Rhapsody interwoven with Quinn giving birth)
    - Duets
    - Dynamic Duets
    - Shooting Star

All the later seasons have one or two standout episodes.

I always remember when they did Wham. It was so 80s and so amazing. God only knows what the episode was about.

Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go? From the episode Guilty Pleasures, says it all. Other songs in that episode were Wannabe, Mamma Mia, Creep, My Prerogative, Against All Odds and Copacabana. Was quite an enjoyable episode actually from recollection.

For me, the show really blossomed when Santana stepped to the fore as a main character. S1-S4 were varying degrees of fantastic. The last two seasons lost me a bit, but the final season had those sparkling glimpses of magic that made me fall in love with Glee in the first place.

I need to re-watch it all. It was just plain daft in places, like Brittany S. Pierce, Artie getting robotic legs for Christmas (and just Christmas), Rachel going from the least popular girl in school to sleeping with half the Glee club... but then at times it had real heart. Particularly season one.

Yeah the show definitely worked better as an ensemble and less as a Rachel-centric show. I remember being part of the fandom and the Glee Forum and living for every tidbit spoiler and preview to songs to see if my favourite characters (Tina) was singing. I was so engrossed in it as a show, never really had that feeling before. But it’s still far from being my favourite TV show.

At times it was a bit of a chore to rewatch, and frustrating in places. But it still gave me quite a bit of glee.

When I rewatch it I think it’ll have to be a one-a-day situation... it was fine once a week, but I can’t imagine doing a box set in a weekend

I still hold a grudge that the only Mariah song performed on the show was AIWFCIY. I know I still Believe was also performed, but that is not a Mariah original. But I guess... Mariah's songs were too hard to sing, so I get that.

I love this show so much. Season 1 to 3 are very strong. I don't like season 4 and 5 as much then I truly felt like season 6 took the show back to what it originally was.

Honestly I thought when I rewatched it recently id want to do like one a day. But when i started I couldn't stop lol

Plus they mashed up I Still Believe with the superior Super Bass.

It was quite bingeable in the first season but, after that, I just had quite a bit of it on in the background while doing other stuff.

The first season was fantastic! I still wished they didn't milk it so hard, as they just became way too overexposed eventually by covering even the latest songs in the chart.

It's bittersweet to watch it now, especially ater the tragic death of Corey and the case of Mark.
