i want this album to be amazing! and to be released everywhere at the same time. i didn't know, but it seems like Delta was released in Germany in May 9, 2008 i didn't know it was released in europe
Maybe because it was not released in Europe lol? It was only sold by some retailers and digitally. But it had not any proper release. At the beginning she wanted to release it here after the USA. But I think after her american fail (even if she charted there for the first time lol) she prefered moving on a straight new record.

By the way I don't think she can release her new album all over the world at the same time: she is not popular enough to do that. And I don't think this is what her staff plans to do. When she did it for Mistaken Identity (except in France...) ok, it was the follow-up of a huge success with 2.000.000 albums worldwide. Now she have to build again everything she had in Europe, so I guess she will promote it in Australia, then she'd promote it hard in thé USA during three months and after that she should coming back to Europe during oh... Let's say 6 months
i knew it wasn't released in europe. i just thought that Germany (only) had a proper release. Yep. she needs to start it all over here. But that doesn't stop her from releasing the first single at the same time in Europe & Australia. Btw, we already have proof that releasing first in the usa and then in Europe is not going to work :-? she should release it first here then in the USA

I hope it will include a powerful song such as Be Strong.
(Yep, I am listening it at the moment)

Delta Goodrem reveals new album plans
    Thursday, February 18 2010, 14:25 GMT

Delta Goodrem has revealed that fans can expect her next album to have a "stripped back" style.

The 'Innocent Eyes' singer is currently busy working on the follow-up to her third disc Delta, which was released in 2007.

Discussing her plans for the LP, Goodrem told the Courier Mail: "What resonates with me now is the acoustic guitar and piano. I'm enjoying writing songs that are more stripped back.

"I've done a 360 back to where I started, but hopefully it's more evolved. I feel I've stepped up my game. I'm experimenting with different chord changes and different areas of music.

"I feel I can do anything on this album, I'm relishing that. I feel like the sky's the limit but at the same time it's very raw.''

Meanwhile, the star would not be drawn on when the album is likely to be released, commenting: "I can't force it, it's like catching a lightning bolt writing that song, that song that represents this time in my life."

Goodrem also dismissed talk of a permanent move to the US, insisting that she is only planning to visit LA for "a few months".
Yes! Glad she's going back to more of an Innocent Eyes-esque sound!

She'd be wiser to take on Europe again first.

Delta Goodrem has revealed that she plans to stage a tour of the UK following the release of her fourth album.

The singer, who rose to prominence with a role on Neighbours, has toured twice in Australia but took neither show to British shores.

However, after being asked on Twitter whether she ever plans to perform for fans in the UK, Goodrem replied: "I'm making the new album at the moment. So 100% tour on the next album!"

Goodrem released her first two albums Innocent Eyes and Mistaken Identity in Britain, but concentrated on the Australian and US markets for 2007 follow-up Delta.

The 25-year-old recently said that her fourth album will be "raw" and "stripped back", but kept tight-lipped on when it will hit shelves.

I'm totally going to this. I've never been to a Delta concert but it would be AMAZING! I don't even care if her next album is shite (which it won't be) but I'm bloody going!

I agree. Innocent Eyes was huge in the UK. I think the album Delta could have been a hit album.

    Agreed!

'Believe Again' and 'In This Life' would have been guaranteed hits here - I blame Brian.

    Thanks to Delta-Daily :

Tentative Release Date: Late 2010 / Early 2011

“… Im not close to it being done yet! …”
    - Delta Goodrem on April 18, 2010

“Prob end of the year! Im really happy with the songs i have written for the record though”
    - Delta Goodrem on August 4, 2010

    Feel of the Album:

“What resonates with me now is the acoustic guitar and piano. I’m enjoying writing songs that are more stripped back. I’ve done a 360 back to where I started, but hopefully it’s more evolved. I feel I’ve stepped up my game. I’m experimenting with different chord changes and different areas of music. I feel I can do anything on this album, I’m relishing that. I feel like the sky’s the limit but at the same time it’s very raw.”
    - Delta Goodrem (Source)

“I didn’t think she’d actually want to do it. Especially because of the style of this record – and especially now that her new record is going very back to her roots. She’s gone very back to the piano-based and big melodies thing and has steered away from that whole pop thing. But when she sang it, everyone agreed that while it doesn’t really fit with the rest of the songs, it’s a hit. It sounds like a hit.”
    - Brian McFadden (Source)

“Delta Goodrem has turned a page in her life and is creating a “stripped back, earthy” sound for her new record… It is strange, turning 25 was like starting a new chapter for me”
    - Delta Goodrem (Source)

    Confirmed Songs:
Just because they are confirmed, doesn’t mean they will make it on the final album.

‘Apple Tree’ (Delta Goodrem / Lucie Silvas / B. Dean)
‘Don’t Cry Until It’s Over’ (Delta Goodrem / Lucie Silvas / B. Dean)
‘Stronger’ (Carl Anthony Falk / Delta Goodrem / Tommy Lee James / Tebey Ottoh)
‘It’s All About Love’ (Alana Kate Akhurst / Delta Goodrem / Brian McFadden / Vince Pizzinga)
‘Your Heart’ (Ina Wroldsen / Delta Goodrem)
‘Losing Tonight’ (Mike Busbee / Delta Goodrem / Lucie Silvas)
‘Alcohol’ (Gary Clark / Robert Conley / Delta Goodrem)
‘Time Machine’ (Negin Djafari / Fredjo Odesojo / Delta Goodrem)

    Cannot wait for this.
But I wonder if we're ever going to here those unreleased tracks from the last era that Delta said may be b-sides like 'You and You Alone', 'Black Apple' and 'Reaching Out'...

If she doesn't, I wouldn't mind paying more to import it as it's bound to be amazing. I'm hoping it's more similar to Mistaken Identity than Delta which, although was a good album, wasn't as good as her previous two efforts.

I've very concerned that she has taken far too long to release this new album and that she will be no longer relevant. I mean, I think everyone's already pissy at her for flogging a million different products on TV.

But for me personally, BRING IT ON!
