Jennifer Hudson’s representative Lisa Kasteler confirmed that the powerhouse vocalist is working on her upcoming classic:

“Contrary to what has been falsely reported, Jennifer Hudson is not pregnant,” the representative says in a statement. Lisa reveals, “Jennifer leaves in April for South Africa where she will portray Winnie Mandela in the feature film, ‘Winnie’.” She continues stating, “It is a commitment she is excited about and takes very seriously. Jennifer is currently in the studio recording her second album and this is the only delivery she is looking forward to in 2010.

Her debut was really solid, I really enjoyed it so can't 2010 come any sooner?

I hope the first single is ballad produced by Timberland. Yes hate saying it but her voice suits his crazy production and her ballads are fine but he hasn't has a person with a kick ass voice.

Is she goes to stargate again . Or tedder is all fails

I still feel she does not deserve that BEST R&B ALBUM Grammy! Her debut was nothing spectacular, and half oe the R&B Albums released that year should have been given that Grammy.
Anyway, i respect her as an Artist. She does have one of the best vocals of our generation.
    Here for Alicia Keys only.

I hope she goes with a newer sound too on this second album There's only 2 tracks I liked off her first album

Definitely looking forward to the new album. I really liked the first one overall, save for a few songs.

She was on Oprah's Christmas Special singing Silent Night with Sugarland.
    She is looking good
But I noticed that when she isn't belting, her tone isn't the best.

Either way, very excited for her sophomore, should be better than her debut !

I really didn't like the locks in her hair when she was on Oprah, as if she had moving snakes on her head. I much rather see her with a straight back wig on.

Anyway she's a sensational vocalist IMO, I love her tone, ad libs, belting and high notes!

Very excited to see a follow up from Jen.

As others said one of the best voices I've ever heard and I loved the debut.

I think Jen could shock us into sales if she came back with a huge uptempo number. I think alot of people have her pegged as a ballads artist but something with soul and sass (not unlike the vibe of "Pocketbook") could change peoples minds.

She officially cemented herself as one of the best vocalists of the generation after her flawless performance of "I Will Always Love You" infront of Whitney herself!

She has a gorgeous upper register and her falsetto is stunning! She really needs to make more use of that. However, there is a limit to her belting capabilities, and she maxes it in every performance she does, so her performances tend to have that samey performance to them. However, I'm a huge fan of her - definitely is one of the best vocalists of this generation.

    She did IWALY justice!

I want her back too!! I loved her right from the start of AI. She's such a good actress too. I hope when she gets back on her feet she makes an album and does some films, even some musicals perhaps!
