Sure it did hurt her career in US but I'm not expecting real success in 2019 so If she gives me quality and good music I will be fine.

No. That's not seen as "cool" anymore. She needs the opposite. Something human and down to earth. Something like "Bedtime Stories" of "Ray of Light," without trying to imitate those albums musically and thematically. That's my feeling, but I could be wrong.

Also, not everybody will watch it anyways, there's millions out there that will miss that broadcast. The only show I saw from that festival was Adele and it made want to see her even more!
This. Plus, if I'm not wrong, she already did something like that with "Sticky and Sweet."

I don't think she'd like the ambiance of Glastonbury.

But festivals are the best way to get closer to the younger audience. She's one of only a few pop artists from the 80s or earlier decades, that would have a privilege of performing at those festivals. The 99% of them, no matter how huge or legendary they are, would probably be refused because they're not "cool" enough. She should use it in her advantage. It's how the music business works today, it's a big deal. Bigger than awards shows and things like that.

Madonna played a BBC festival performing 6 songs: Candy Shop, Miles Away, 4 Minutes, Give It 2 Me, Hung Up and Music. Glastonbury would have been a 2 hour headline show. Madonna has never headlined a festival before with a full set.

I actually think the Madonna rumours are true and she was actually booked for Glastonbury's anniversary next year (2020) as they already confirmed they booked those headliners last year...so if u were you I'd try for tickets when they go on sale this year...but I could be wrong...

I agree and think she’ll do it next year - especially if it’s towards the end of her tour. She might even sign an agreement to release the broadcast version as the DVD for all we know. The timing just works better.

Would be nice if she'll do Glastonbury next year. Now would be great too. If she does, I don't think it will be anything like her up-coming tour though. Glastonbury is more raw usually.

I don't think that makes that person any less of a fan than someone who likes LAP like most of the general audience.

And nobody is perfect. Someone can claim he/she loves everything Madonna ever did. And that's their own right. But does that make someone a fan who can say to others - you're not a fan? Of course not. Madonna is just a human and like all of us not everything she does is perfect and excellent. It's just the realistic nature of things. Not every song she does can be a perfect piece of pop. And that's OK. Nobody says that you can't learn to love some songs/things that lack something. For one reason or another you can learn to like and appreciate something. But then again if you never connect to something - that's just as OK.

And Madonna's recent output has been anything but stellar. It's completely understandable that even fans will have divisive opinion on her latest work moreso than ever.
Lol my post had nothing to do with her music. Just like his didn’t.

Eurovision has no impact on charts. Glastonbury could've rehabilitated her image in UK, Dolly Parton's album went platinum after she headlined it few years ago - her first ever platinum album! Beyonce gave 4 new life after her performance in 2011 and BTINH became top 3 ht.

Actually Eurovison helped Justin T's Cant Stop the Feeling smash in Europe. Although I agree with you. She needs Glastonbury and I dont know what her aversion to it is. Festivals in general are in right now and are good for her brand. Although didnt she say somewhere that if they want to see her live they have to pay for her tour?

No it didn't. It would've smashed anyway - look at its run in US. That's myth that Madonna stans started telling once Euorvision rumors started, probably because they expect same result.

Except we know he performed at EV and CSTF smashed. All you have is your thoughts on the matter. I remember it did very well on itunes after the performance. It will help Madonnas tour sales not necessarily her single/album sales

Eurovision will not boost sales because it will just expose Madonna to the same type of buying audience that Madonna is exposed to anyway. Whereas the Superbowl did expose Madonna to an audience that wouldn't pay attention to her otherwise (with no positive results whatsoever) Eurovision will do no such thing. Moreover it might even hurt her if she chooses to take sides in the Israel-Palestinian conflict with a statement or so. Also it is a show that is not highly respected by the general public (i.e. a Eurovision win means nothing compared to a Grammy/an MTV music video award or a Brit) so Madonna appearing there that late in her career might (or may not) by itself give rise to negative comments especially if her performance is less than stellar.

We only have JT to compare it to, any other chart facts related to Eurovision are about the contestants and that's an entirely different kettle of fish.
