Back in those days it was such a big deal.
Here in Brazil we used to have celebrities every now and then talking about Kabbalah after she talked about it and named her as an influence for them.

I tried, but it was boring as hell!

That's something you really have to admire her for.
Whenever she gets into something she tries to learn the most about it.
Kabbalah was indeed SO boring !
I remember an interview in which she talked about the books she had to read and bla bla bla and I was shocked at how thick they were.
She even tried to learn the language (aramaic? Not sure).

Music acts long overdue a comeback

A year is a lifetime in pop, so when a popstar is absent for even a moment longer, you really start to feel it.

When it comes to Robyn, we're starting to take this personally. Her last proper album was the Body Talk trilogy in 2011, and aside from a few collaborations the only taste of Robyn goodness was a snippet of new song Honey in the TV show Girls back in March. Also giving us some serious heartache is Christina Aguilera, pretty much silent on the new music front since her cameo on A Great Big World's Say Something in 2014, although she did deliver a show-stopping performance at the American Music Awards in November. She has cleared out a load of her Instagram posts, though, which is good a sign she's on her way back, unless she did some Brexit tweets we don't know about but regrets them now.

Ella Henderson was looking good for a return this year, a good three years after her huge debut and Number 1 Ghost; she performed some new songs when supporting James Arthur on tour in 2017, but then announced she was parting ways with her record label Syco, so the project is delayed.

Daft Punk have had huge hits with The Weeknd, Starboy and I Feel It Coming, but their last album as a lead artist is over four years ago, and Cheryl's last LP was almost as long ago – she's been busy being a mum but has admitted she's been "receiving songs". Give us 'em then, Cheryl!

Céline Dion hasn't released an English-language album since 2014, so we're hopeful this year will break the drought, and with a role in Mamma Mia sequel coming up, wouldn't it be great if Cher could see her way to chucking out a follow-up to 2013's Closer to the Truth? Yes, you're right, it would.

Madonna has been getting vocal on the socials that she's been in the studio and doesn't want to do writing camps anymore, and now she's back working with Mirwais, her old collaborator from Music and American Life. Does this mean a new Madgewais will appear in 2018?

I did phone the Kabbalah centre once and they said I needed to pay £300 for books for further profession, so I Hung Up

I do think it’s a plague on the industry actually and people build their careers on them. I once read one of Rihanna’s albums was (mostly) written in one week - her team hired a house and everyone came to it for the week.
