I f**king hate myself for loving this but it really is the best song Steps never recorded, well they were pretty much a carbon copy of them minus a member.

A (surprise?) Top 5 hit in early 2000, I bought it in week of release for a bargain 99p when most new releases were 2.99! I didn't rate anything else from them apart from "For Sure" which should've been their biggest single.

I'm fairly sure there were two different CD singles available at 99p each - and this was probably also the case with most or all of their other releases too!

"More Than I Needed To Know" was my favourite of theirs by some margin - while "For Sure" brings up the rear (but only just):

    01 01 09 #04 of 1999 0487	MORE THAN I NEEDED TO KNOW
    02 02 07 #26 of 2000 0741	THE BEST IS YET TO COME
    03 04 07 #37 of 2000 0894	MAYBE TOMORROW
    04 12 07 #29 of 2007 1044	FLYING THE FLAG (FOR YOU)
    05 65 -- #73 of 1999 2529	WHEN MY BABY
    06 68 -- #83 of 2000 2551	FOR SURE
I got "Maybe Tomorrow" on a separate promo CD - whose cover depicted the "Littlest Hobo" dog, for it was a version of that television show theme, which was being used in a commercial at the time. But, although it was a track on the CD single and 12" of "The Best Is Yet To Come", surprisingly it wasn't an official double-A-side!

That one was OK but the chorus didn't really go anywhere IMO and listening to it again it sounds exactly like "Last Thing On My Mind" and "One For Sorrow" merged with new words!

I always preferred 'For Sure'....I'm sure that's still lurking on my iPod somewhere
