The Sugababes have started working on their new album, their manager has revealed.

The group, which Heidi Range recently insisted are not splitting despite poor sales on their latest album Sweet 7, are reportedly going back in to the studio to start work on their eighth album.

The trio's manager Mark Hargreaves has now spoken out, insisting that the group are in high spirits and are working on a new record.

Hargreaves told Now: "They're a very happy group today. They can't wait to get back into the studio and bring back that feelgood factor."

The magazine also reports that their previous hit single 'Girls' recorded with former Sugababe Keisha Buchanan will be re-recorded with new member Jade Ewan's vocals, and will be used to promote US department store JC Penney.

Hargreaves said: "It's brought a massive resurgence of interest in the band over there."

Well I suppose on record a top 15 album doesn't look so bad though their manager should be pushing for a top 10 placing at least!

Interesting that they're getting their voice out there in America & I really hope we get more meaningful songs from them this time around.

I thought it was "We H8 Keisha"?

I reckon they'll take a step backwards on this one, maybe tone down the image and production in favour of vocal and credibility.

Well i dont mind if they keep the image but focus more on the vocals!! That would be good.

I think the issue there was singleworthy material now, if they came back with a Too Lost In You... could bring it all back. I think they do need something more reliant on vocals to get their credibility back.

Bland songs though! If they can combine that style with good songs it'd work.

The best thing to do, start over with new album and leave all the drama behind, I'm glad we got to hear Sweet 7 it was a great album IMO.

    WHAT!

They Pole Danced their way through the 'Girls' video and then rode a car made of Naked men for the 'No Can Do' video!

...unless Keisha, Mutya and Siobhán get their album out first and steal the girls' thunder.
